Rem oval
STEP 1 --Pull dow n t he lat ch on the mounting kit with a scr ew d r iv er .
STEP 2 & 3 --Slight ly pull t he EDS device forw ard and lift up t o remove it from the DI N rail.

N OTE Our DI N rail kit now ut ilizes a quick release m echanism t o m ake it easier for user s t o rem ove t he DI N rail from t he EDS device.
W all Mounting ( Optional)
For som e applicat ions, y ou w ill find it convenient t o m ount t he Moxa EDS device on a w all, as show n in t he follow ing illust rat ions:
STEP 1 --Rem ove t he DI N- rail at t achm ent plat e from t he rear panel of t he EDS device, as illust rat ed in t he diagram on t he right.

STEP 2 --Mount ing t he EDS device on a w all requires six screw s. Use t he EDS device, w it h w all m ount plat es at t ached, as a guide t o m ark t he correct locat ions of t he six screws. The heads of t he screws should be less t han 6.0 m m in diam et er, and t he shaft s should be less t han 3.5 m m in diam et er, as shown in t he figure on at right .

NOTE

Before t ight ening t he screws int o t he wall, m ake sure t he screw head and shank size are suit able by insert ing t he screw t hrough one of t he keyhole- shaped apert ur es of t he Wall Mount ing Plat es.

- 5 -

N OTE Do not screw t he screw s in all t he w ay--leave about 2 m m t o allow room for sliding t he wall m ount panel bet ween t he wall and t he screws.
STEP 3 --Once t he screw s are fixed t o t he wall, insert t he four screw heads t hrough t he wide parts of the keyholeshaped apert ures, and t hen slide t he EDS device downwards, as indicat ed in the figure at the right. Tight en t he four screws for m ore st abilit y.

ATTEN TI ON
Safety First ! Ext ernal m et al part s are hot . Take t he necessar y precaut ions if you are required t o handle t he device.
ATTEN TI ON
I n order t o ensure reliable operat ions, please m ake sure t he operat ing t em perat ure of t he environm ent does not exceed t he specificat ions. When m ount ing an EDS device w it h ot her operat ing unit s in a cabinet wit hout forced vent ilat ion, a m inim um of 4 cm space on bot h t he left and right of t he swit ch is recom m ended.
ATTEN TI ON
Safety First ! Be sure t o disconnect t he power cord before inst alling and/ or w iring your EDS device. Calculat e t he m axim um possible current in each power wire and com m on wire. Observe all elect rical codes dict at ing t he m axim um current allowable for each wire size. I f t he current goes above t he m axim um rat ings, t he wiring could overheat , causing serious dam age t o your equipm ent .
