Layout
The YOCTOP Smart Remote features a user-friendly layout. Key components include:
- Front Face: Four main buttons: 'Power/Mode', 'Shutter', 'Shortcut', and 'Setting'. Indicator lights are positioned above the buttons, including a 'Charge Indicator' and a set of 'Status Indicators' (Connection, Video, Photo, Timelapse).
- Rear/Side: A magnetic 'Charging Port' and a 'Lanyard Hole'.
Status Indication
Connection Indicator
On: Connected to cameras.
Blinking: Searching for cameras.
Video Indicator
On: Cameras in Video Mode.
Blinking: Recording video.
Photo Indicator
On: Cameras in Photo Mode.
Blinking: Taking Photo.
Timelapse Indicator
On: Cameras in Timelapse Mode.
Blinking: Recording Timelapse.
Pairing Camera
- Press and hold the 'Setting Button' for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. All indicators will blink.
- On your camera, navigate to: Connections > Connect Device > Remote to put the camera into pairing mode.
- Wait for a pairing success notification on the camera screen.
- Press the 'Setting Button' on the remote to exit pairing mode.
- If pairing fails, select 'Reset Connections' in the camera's settings and repeat the process.
- Once paired, cameras and the remote will connect automatically when powered on.
- If the camera's wireless connection is inactive after a long period, remove and reinsert the camera battery, then power on to reactivate wireless connection.
- To control multiple cameras simultaneously, refer to 'FIRMWARE UPDATE' instructions, access 'Options', and enable 'Multiple Cameras Mode'.
Charging
Attach the magnetic charging cable to the charging port on the back of the remote. A standard USB charger (e.g., from a mobile phone) is required.
The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged.
Power Indication
Upon powering on, the status indicators display the battery level. Each indicator represents 25% of the total battery capacity. The number of illuminated indicators shows the remaining power.
When the battery is critically low, the 'Connection Indicator' will blink three times as a notification.
FCC Requirement
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
