Architectural Specifications

The loudspeaker is an active three-way bi-amped system. It features a high power 15" (380 mm) isometric triangular horn-loaded low frequency (LF) transducer. The two-way mid-high frequency section comprises an 8" (200 mm) isometric triangular horn-loaded mid-high frequency (MHF) transducer and a 1.5" (38.1 mm) diameter exit high frequency (HF) compression driver mounted on a waveguide. Both LF and MHF transducers are housed in separate, independent moulded fibreglass composite cabinets with a smooth cellulose finish, available in any RAL colour.

The LF and MHF transducers are built on cast aluminium frames. The LF voice coil is 63.5 mm (4"), and the MHF voice coil is 50.8 mm (2"). Both are wound with copper wires on high-quality voice coil formers for robust power handling and long-term reliability. The HF transducer projects sound through a high-precision waveguide with a 200 mm (8") baffle, ensuring pattern control and low distortion.

Performance Specifications

For a typical production unit, the usable on-axis bandwidth is 120 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB). The average directivity pattern is 60° on the vertical axis and 90° on the horizontal axis (-6 dB down from on-axis level) from 1 kHz to 12 kHz. The maximum Sound Pressure Level (SPL) is 138 dB peak, measured at 1 meter using IEC268-5 pink noise. Crossover points are set at 500 Hz and 1.4 kHz using 3rd order filters (18 dB per octave).

The system is powered by its own dedicated power amplification module with DSP management. Wiring connections are made via two Neutrik speakON™ NL4 connectors (one for input and one for loop-out to another speaker), allowing for pre-wiring before installation.

The enclosures are bolted onto a powder-coated steel frame using at least four M8 bolts per horn. This frame precisely aligns the horns for constant directivity across the system's dispersion. It includes mounting holes for U-bracket fixtures for ceiling, wall, and ground stack mounting.

Dimensions

Dimensional drawings are provided for both left-handed and right-handed versions of the Tri Motion loudspeaker.

Left-Handed Version

The drawing shows the overall dimensions. The width is 819 mm (32 ¼"), the height is 728 mm (28 11/16"), and the depth is 489 mm (19 ¼"). Specific horn dimensions are also indicated, with a depth of 470 mm (18 ½") and a height of 317 mm (12 ½").

Right-Handed Version

Similar to the left-handed version, the drawing illustrates the overall dimensions: width 819 mm (32 ¼"), height 728 mm (28 11/16"), and depth 489 mm (19 ¼"). Specific horn dimensions are 470 mm (18 ½") in depth and 318 mm (12 ½") in height.

These diagrams help visualize the physical footprint and component placement of the loudspeaker system.
