Scott S2 Release Instructions

The Scott S2 and S2 Solid offer unmatched versatility with a solid flip-back connection or NCS length adjustment options. This wrist strap release includes a double sear trigger and an open hook jaw, ensuring a crisp, consistent shot every time. With travel, length, and tension adjustments, the S2 provides complete customization to suit your shooting style. It's designed for archers who demand precision and adaptability in every release.

Length Adjustment

To adjust the length of your Scott Release with a Nylon Connector Strap (NCS), loosen both #4-40 socket head cap screws (Fig 1) which attach the lock-down clamp to the bracket sewn into the release strap using a 3/32″ hex tool. Move the nylon connector strap to the desired length and retighten both screws.

Trigger Adjustment

To adjust the trigger travel of the S2, turn the #4-40 set screw located below the trigger using a .050" Allen Key (Fig 2). To increase travel, turn screw counterclockwise in ¼" turn increments. Test after each adjustment. To decrease travel, turn screw clockwise in ½" increments. Test after each adjustment. Note that adjusting too far in the clockwise direction will render your release in-operable. The minimum recommended travel adjustment setting can be found by pressing the cocking lever on the release and tightening the travel screw (Fig 2) until the release fires, then turn the adjustment screw out (counterclockwise a minimum of ½ turn).

Tension Adjustment

To adjust the trigger tension on the S2, turn the two #8-32 set screws located on the front of the release with a 5/64″ Allen Key (Fig 3). To increase tension, turn the screws clockwise in ¼” increments. Tightening too far will render your release in-operable. To decrease tension, turn the screws counterclockwise in ½" increments. Each screw can be turned individually to find the archers desired tension.

Adjusting and Replacing Triggers

The S2 comes with dual trigger mounting locations as well as two trigger style options. A forward and swept back trigger allow for optimal trigger positioning to fit the archer's preference (Fig 4). To replace a trigger, remove the #2/56 button head screw with a .050” Allen Key (Fig 5). Pick the desired trigger style and mounting location (Fig 6) and re-tighten the screw.

Solid Connector Adjustment

To adjust the length of your Scott™ Release with a solid connector, first remove the #4-40 socket head cap screw from the side of the release head (Fig 7). Then set the release head to the desired length and reinsert the screw in the corresponding hole on the release head to tighten. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, AS IT MAY STRIP THE THREADS IN THE RELEASE HEAD.
