Ramp Adjustment

The ramp is the period during which the device gradually increases pressure from a low level to the prescribed therapy pressure, making the initial stages of treatment more comfortable. To set the ramp:

  1. On the Home screen, rotate the dial until the RAMPA screen is displayed in blue.
  2. Press the dial. The selection will be highlighted in orange.
  3. Rotate the dial until your desired ramp time is displayed.
  4. Press the dial to confirm your choice.

Mask Leak Detection Function

The mask leak detection function helps ensure your mask has an optimal seal. This function delivers pressure for three minutes before therapy begins, allowing you to check the mask seal and make adjustments to minimize air leaks.

  1. Wear the mask as described in the user guide.
  2. On the Home screen, press and hold the dial for three seconds. One of the following screens will be displayed:

Screen 1: "TENUTA MSC Sistema" (Mask Seal System)

Screen 2: "TENUTA MSC Buona" (Mask Seal Good)

  1. If necessary, adjust the mask, mask cushion, and headgear until a good seal is achieved. After three minutes, the pressure will drop to the set value and therapy will begin.

The mask leak detection function can be interrupted at any time by pressing the dial [power-symbol].

S9 Essentials

S9 Essentials is designed to make patient interaction and menu navigation easier. If enabled by your clinician, S9 Essentials disables the Info and Configuration functionalities, allowing you to simply start and stop therapy, and adjust ramp, humidification, and Climate Control.

  1. Press the button to display the SETTINGS page.
  2. Rotate the dial until the word "Maschera" (Mask) is highlighted in blue.

  4. Rotate the dial until the required mask setting is displayed (e.g., Cushion, Oro-nasal).
  5. Press the dial to confirm your selection.
