FODSPORTS FX 30C PRO Helmet Bluetooth Intercom with Camera User Manual

Thank you for purchasing the FX 30C PRO helmet Bluetooth intercom with camera. For optimum use, please read the manual before use.

1. Package Include

The package includes the following items:

2. Charging

Charging Indicator: The LED indicator will light up in red while charging and turn off when charging is completed. Please charge the device before first use.

The power cable insert hole (socket) is located on the device.

3. Installation

3.1 Speaker Installation

  1. Open the inner lining of the helmet ear position and fix the Velcro to the ring position.
  2. Fit the headset to the Velcro and fix it to the ring position. Ensure the short-line speaker is on the left.
  3. Stick the microphone and Velcro on the left side of the helmet at a suitable position, aiming the microphone at the mouth position, and arrange the wires to the inner lining.

Remark: The microphone should be as close to and aimed at the mouth as possible. The speakers should be as close to the ears as possible. If the installation position of the speaker is too deep, causing the speaker to be too far from the ear, the sponge in the accessory may be used to adjust the position.

3.2 Clip Installation

Method 1: Metal Clip + Rotating Parts + Plastic Clip (Recommended)

  1. Assemble the Rotating Parts to the Plastic Clip.
  2. Fix the Rubber Pads to the Rotating Parts; Assemble the Metal Clip to the Rotating Parts.
  3. Install the Rotating Parts to the helmet.

Method 2: 3M Stickers + Rotating Parts + Plastic Clip

  1. Assemble the Rotating Parts to the Plastic Clip.
  2. Fix the Rotating Parts 3M Stickers to the Rotating Parts.
  3. Install the FX 30C PRO to the helmet.

Method 3: Metal Clip + Plastic Clip

  1. Install the FX 30C PRO into the Plastic Clip.
  2. Assemble the Plastic Clip and Metal clip.
  3. Install the FX 30C PRO to the helmet.

3.3 Insert the headset / Pull out headset

Insert the microphone and earphone connection line; installation is complete. To pull out the headset plug, follow the reverse procedure.

4. Camera & Video Function

Outlook / Button

4.1 Camera ON/OFF

Press and hold the camera Power button [power-symbol] for 2 seconds to switch the camera function on or off. Note: Before turning on the camera, please insert the TF card first.

4.2 Camera Mode

When the camera function is switched on, press the camera mode button [camera-symbol] once to take a photo. The voice prompt will say "Photo" and the camera indicator will flash red once.

4.3 Video Mode

When the camera function is switched on, press the video mode button [video-symbol] to start recording. The voice prompt will say "Recording On" and the camera indicator will keep flashing. To stop recording, press the video mode button again; the voice prompt will say "Recording Off".

Note: If the TF card is full, it will overwrite the memory and continue recording.

4.4 WIFI & APP

4.4.1 APP Download

Scan the QR code to download the "MCAM" app to your smartphone. Available on the App Store & Google Play. You can also search for "AVDEO" APP.

4.4.2 WIFI Framing

Note: When the FX 30C PRO is connected to the mobile via WIFI, recording can only be started and stopped using the mobile phone; the record button on the FX 30C PRO will not function.

4.4.2.4 Quickly exit WIFI connection & Quickly take photos and videos

Note: When the FX 30C PRO is connected to the mobile phone via WIFI, start and stop recording can only be operated on the mobile phone; the record button on the FX 30C PRO will not work.

4.4.3 Settings

Click the settings icon [gear-symbol] to access the APP settings.

Tips: After connecting via WIFI and confirming the angle, it is recommended to shut down the WIFI function to conserve battery power and allow the device to work longer.

*Camera Function: While video recording is in progress, you cannot take photos simultaneously. To take photos, you must first pause the recording.

4.4.4 TOGGLE MICROPHONE & CAMERA RESET

4.5 WIFI DATA TRANSIT

When video mode is on and connected to WIFI with your smartphone, you can download videos or photos from your smartphone. For power saving, downloading files via USB is suggested.

4.6 TF Card (not included)

Supports 32GB TF cards. Data can be transferred via USB data cable (power on the camera after connecting the data cable). It takes approximately 3 seconds.

Tips: The TF card should be at least Class 10 or an even higher version.

5. Button and Basic Function Operation

Outlook / Button

Power On / OFF

Power On: When the device is off, press the Intercom button and Function button simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Power Off: When the device is on, press the Intercom button and Function button simultaneously for 3 seconds.

*On initial use, charge the device until the red light turns off.

Power Detect & Notification Function

Low Power Notification: When the power is below 10%, the red light on the function button will flash, and a voice message will announce "Power lower than 10%". Please recharge immediately.

Power Detect Function: The FX 30C PRO has a power detect function. When the device is on, briefly press the Intercom and Mode buttons simultaneously. A recorded voice message will indicate the power level:

Cellphone Function

Redial

Press the Function button briefly twice.

Volume Control

Manual/Auto Switch

Press and hold the "Function" and "Mode" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds when the device is in standby. (Default: answer automatically)

Voice Command

When your FX 30C PRO is paired with a cellphone, briefly press the “Mode” button once. This will automatically activate the voice command function (for iOS and Android). *Cellphone must be equipped with this function.

Music Function

EQ Sound Selection

While music is playing, short press the Mode button to cycle through EQ sound effects:

APTX HD audio

In the cellphone's song playback format settings, select the APTX format to enjoy real HiFi sound effects when listening to music (the mobile phone must support APTX format playback).

Music sharing

Start Sharing Music:

  1. (No.1) connects with phone (refer to 6.3).
  2. (No.1) and (No.2) establish intercom connection (refer to 6.2).
  3. Short press (No.1) Intercom button to exit intercom mode.
  4. Long press (No.1) Intercom button and Mode button for 3 seconds; voice notice "Start Sharing Music".
  5. Turn on (No.1) Music player on your phone and play songs.
  6. (No.2) can now enjoy the music shared by (No.1).

Stop Sharing Music: Pause music first, then long press the Intercom button and Mode button for 3 seconds; voice notice "Stop Sharing Music".

About Music Sharing:

NOTE: For the best music sharing experience, one unit should be connected to your phone, and the other should not.

Memory Clear

Memory Clear: When the device is on, press "Mode" + "Intercom" + "Function" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. Then FX 30C PRO will clear its pairing memory with other devices.

6. Device Pairing and Connection

6.1 Pairing Mode

6.1.1 Active search mode

When the device is on, press and hold the intercom button for about 6 seconds. The red and blue indicator lights will flash alternately slowly, entering active search mode, and the voice prompt will be "searching". Active search mode is used for intercom function connection between FX 30C PRO devices.

6.1.2 Passive pairing mode

When the device is on, press and hold the Function button for about 6 seconds. The red and blue indicator lights will flash alternately quickly, entering the pairing search mode, and the voice prompt will be "pairing". The passive pairing mode is used to connect to Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones and GPS.

6.2 (No.1) FX 30C PRO connect with (No.2) FX 30C PRO

(No.1) FX 30C PRO should be in active search mode (refer to 6.1.1), and (No.2) FX 30C PRO should be in passive pairing mode (refer to 6.1.2). When (No.1) and (No.2) FX 30C PRO change from flashing red and blue lights alternately to flashing blue lights simultaneously, the connection is successful.

6.3 Pairing With Cellphone

STEP 1: When the device is on, long press the Function button. The red and blue lights will flash quickly, entering passive pairing mode (refer to 6.1.2).

STEP 2: Turn on your cellphone's Bluetooth, select "FODSPORTS FX 30C PRO". The pairing is complete. A voice message will say "Device Connected".

6.4 Pairing Connection

Occasions: Rider A connects with Passenger B for intercom. Then A connects with one Bluetooth device, and B connects with one Bluetooth device (as shown below).

Notice 1: If A or B needs to use the audio function of the phone (Bluetooth device), you must disconnect the intercom.

Notice 2: Intercom is interrupted and reconnected: In a two-person intercom state, if there is a mobile phone call, the intercom will automatically disconnect and reconnect after the call ends. If it is interrupted due to distance or poor signal, press the intercom button to return to the intercom state.

6.5 Memory Connection Function

The FX 30C PRO will remember the paired device. When using it again, follow these steps:

  1. Switch off all 2 units (No.1 and No.2) and all Bluetooth devices connected to the headset, such as cellphone and GPS (this will affect pairing).
  2. Switch on Unit No.1 and No.2. Press Unit No.1's intercom button; No.1 and No.2 will connect successfully.
  3. After both units reconnect, switch on the originally connected Bluetooth devices, such as cellphone and GPS.

6.6. FX 30C PRO can connect up to 2 devices.

The FX 30C PRO cannot pair with three devices at the same time.

Prolonged listening or listening at excessively high volumes may damage your hearing.

8.22 Disassembly or Modification

The FX 30C PRO is precisely manufactured at the factory. Any disassembly or modification may damage the device. Do not remove any safety regulation or serial number stickers from the device, as this will void the warranty.
