CONNECOM and Other Brand Walkie Talkie Communication Setting
1 Preparation Before Programming
- Ensure the driver is already installed on your computer.
- Install CONNECOM brand CPS software. Contact customer service for software acquisition.
- Turn on the walkie talkie and connect the GD900 USB programming cable to the correct port.
- Before modifying, obtain the frequency table for different brands of walkie-talkies and determine whether to turn CTCSS on or off.
- Acquire CONNECOM CPS software by visiting the official website: http://www.hqjmtech.com/ and downloading it.
2 Start Program
Launch the CONNECOM CPS software.
Language Selection: English
Port Selection:
- The default port is COM1.
- Re-select the correct COM port from the drop-down list if necessary.
Password: Leave blank if no password is set for the radio. No change is required by default.
Click 'OK' after selecting the port.
3 Edit Channel
Wait for the program to read the data from the radio. A progress bar will indicate the status.
To change walkie talkie frequency parameters, click 'Edit' for the desired channel.
In the configuration window:
- Fill in the necessary parameters such as Tx Freq, Rx Freq, Channel Spacing, Tx Power, etc.
- Attention: For intercoms between different brands of walkie-talkies, choose a consistent CTCSS setting or ensure all walkie-talkies have CTCSS turned off.
- Adjust CTCSS/CDCSS settings as needed.
Save the modified parameters by clicking 'OK'.
After saving, select the “write to radio” button to transfer the settings to the walkie-talkie.
The process is now complete.
