Congratulations on your selection of the Spider ID app. We are certain you will be pleased with your purchase of one of the flexible solutions on the market. We want to help you get the best result from your Spider ID app. This manual contains information on how to do that; please read it carefully. Due to continuous product improvements, this manual is subject to changes without notice. Download from App Store

If you do not own the Spider ID App already, follow these instructions to download it from the app store:

1. Search the Apple Store or Google Play store for 'Spider ID' (by Inepro B.V.). It should have the image below as logo: [Spider ID Logo]
2. Click install.

Identification

The Spider ID app is an easy way to identify yourself at one of the Spider RFID readers.

The identification process involves three key elements: [Device with RFID Reader Foil], [Mobile Phone] running the Spider ID app, and a [User Icon].

Look for the black and gray RFID Reader foil on your device. Your device is usually an MFP (Multi-Function Printer), but could also be some other device. The RFID Reader foil is key, as it indicates a Spider RFID Reader is installed behind it.

To identify yourself, follow these easy steps:

1. Start the Spider ID App. [Spider ID Logo]
2. Go up to the device and present your phone. Move near the Spider RFID reader (locate the RFID Reader foil) and then click 'Start Identification'.
3. When the device is within range, it should be listed in the app. Select the device in the app.
4. Confirm. [Allow Spider ID to find, connect to and determine the relative position of nearby devices? Allow / Don't Allow]
5. Make sure to give permission to find, connect to, and determine the position of nearby devices. Your ID will be sent. When your ID has been sent, a confirmation message is shown. [Sending ID / Complete ✔️]

Settings & Privacy

In the settings menu, you will find these options:

• Settings Overview: Select a setting.
• Languages: Select the language.
• About: To find the version and a short description of the app.
• Contact: Our contact information.

The settings menu displays options for Language, About, Contact, and Version.

The language selection screen offers multiple languages including English, Dutch, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Catalan, English (Australia), Basque, and Hungarian.

The About screen shows the app name 'Spider ID', version '1.8.1', and a description: 'Securely identify yourself at a Spider RFID reader, using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).'

The Contact screen provides Inepro B.V. contact details: inepro.com/support and support@inepro.com.

Privacy

The ID sent to the device is a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier). It is created from various components within your mobile phone that together can uniquely identify you.

To protect your privacy and for security reasons, you will get a new ID when you switch your phone, your provider, or your SIM card. You can identify yourself with more than one ID, so using multiple phones or SIM cards is possible.
