SensoMAG F10
Conventional Fire Alarm Fixed Temperature Detector
General Information and Compatibility
ATTENTION: Read carefully these installation instructions before installing the device!
The SensoMAG F10 detector is compatible with any conventional Fire Panel with a fire alarm threshold between 10mA and 15mA (or between 10mA and 30mA when using the B24RD fire base).
Compatible Base Types
The SensoMAG F10 detector can be used with four different base types:
- B12L/U: Base with relay output (not covered by EN 54-5).
- B24: Standard base, low profile.
- B24-HP: Standard base, high profile.
- B24D: Standard base with Schottky diode.
- B24RD: Standard base with Schottky diode and increased alarm state current.
Installation Steps
- Choose the proper place for installation of the fire detector, referring to the provided installation guidelines. Note: Do not install the detector near natural heat sources, such as above cookers, ovens, or fireplaces.
- To "lock" the detector to the base, remove the small triangular "tooth" and break off the plastic key from the base. Keep the plastic key in a safe place for future detector opening.
- Mount the fire base on the ceiling of the protected premises using fixings appropriate for the mounting surface.
- Connect the detector base to the fire panel using the wiring diagram. ATTENTION: Disconnect the line power before installing the detector!
- Insert the detector into the base and rotate clockwise until it clicks into place. Continue rotating until the detector is locked to the base.
- If the detector is locked to the base, use the plastic key to open it for maintenance or cleaning. Lightly press the plastic key into the base opening and simultaneously rotate the detector head counter-clockwise.
- ATTENTION: If removing the detector's PCB for service maintenance, align the colored dot sticker on the PCB with the mark on the plastic body (visible from the outside) when remounting. The hole next to the colored dot must align with the pin on the plastic body. Gently press downwards to fix the PCB in place.
- Test the detector for proper operation and LED indication.
Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram illustrates connections for various base types (B12L/U, B24/B24-HP, B24D, B24RD) to a Fire Panel and an Intruder Alarm Panel. It also indicates the necessity of a 100K resistor in parallel at the beginning of the line if the EOL-module is only a capacitor.
Jumper Operation Mode: The detector features a jumper for selecting between Latch Mode (Jumper ON) and Unlatch Mode (Jumper OFF).
Testing and Maintenance
Testing Procedure
- Apply power to the detector.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
- Apply a heat tester (e.g., Cordless Heat Detector Tester or Heat Tester 110V-240V) at a distance of 20cm to test the heat sensor. The fire detector should enter the fire condition within 8 seconds, with both LEDs lighting up.
- Power off the detector for a minimum of 2 seconds. After resetting, the detector will enter duty mode, and the LEDs will turn off.
Maintenance Schedule
Regular maintenance should be performed as follows:
- Inspection for visible physical damage: Weekly.
- Operational test in real conditions: Monthly.
- Check and clean dust contamination: Every six months.
- Check and clean base and head contacts and connections: Annually.
LED Indication
- Blinking (approx. 8 sec): Indicates normal operation (OK).
- Light On: Indicates alarm state.
- Light Off: Indicates the detector is in duty mode or powered off.
