Vision® Wired Electronic Room Thermostat D03
Quick Installation Guide
This document provides a quick installation guide for the Watts Vision® Wired Electronic Room Thermostat D03. The thermostat is designed for controlling room temperature in heating and cooling systems.
Safety Warnings and Operating Instructions
[home-environment] This product should be installed by a qualified professional according to all applicable regulations and standards. All instructions in this Installation & Operation manual should be observed when working with the thermostat. Failures due to improper installation, improper use or poor maintenance are voiding manufacturer liability.
[power-disconnect] Before starting work disconnect power supply!
[installation-tools] All installation and wiring work related to the thermostat must be carried out only when de-energized.
[water-protection-none] The thermostats are neither splash- nor drip-proof. Therefore, they must be mounted at a dry place.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare Mounting
Mount the base plate to the wall. Ensure a minimum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling and approximately 1.5 meters from the floor. The thermostat requires a dry location.
Step 2: Wiring Connections
Connect the wires to the thermostat base plate. The wire gauge should be between 0.5 mm² and 1.5 mm², with a stripping length of 7-10 mm.
The wiring diagram illustrates connections for power supply (24-230V AC), and potential connections to a controller, heat pump or boiler, and actuators. Terminals are labeled L, N, VOA, 2, etc. The thermostat supports Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) configurations.
Step 3: Attach Thermostat
Once wiring is complete, attach the thermostat unit to the mounted base plate. It should click into place.
System Integration
The Vision® Wired thermostat (D03) can be integrated into a heating or cooling system. A typical setup involves connecting the thermostat to a Watts controller (e.g., WFC), which then communicates with a heat pump or boiler and associated actuators. The system also shows a 'Clock signal' and 'Heat or cool signal' connection.
