Information
[CAUTION] To prevent burns, allow the engine, exhaust system, radiator, etc., to cool before installing the accessory.
[NOTICE] When installing the Left Heated Grip:
- Do not tap on the grip end with a hammer or twist the grip onto the handlebar, as this can damage the element.
- Avoid applying pressure to the switch part when inserting the left grip heater, as the switch part may break.
- If the grip gets stuck during installation, apply isopropyl alcohol to the gap between the heated grip and the handlebar. Do not use force or a screwdriver, as this can damage the heated grip wire.
[NOTE]
- Disconnect the throttle cables from the right grip as per the motorcycle's Service Manual.
- Use the recommended adhesive agent (Honda Bond A) or equivalent for secure adhesion of the heated grips.
- After installing the right heated grip, open and close the throttle to check for smooth operation.
- Be careful not to damage the motorcycle's painted surfaces.
- Save all removed parts unless otherwise indicated.
- Reinstall removed parts, ensuring wires and harnesses are not pinched.
- After reconnecting the battery, refer to the motorcycle Owner's Manual to set the clock.
- Trim excess ends off wire ties after attaching them to the wire harness. Ensure cut parts do not interfere with other harnesses or brake hoses.
- Move the handlebar left and right to check that harnesses are not pinched by any components and are not too tight.

Dealer Troubleshooting
If the grip heater exhibits abnormalities, the grip heater status icon on the combination meter and the heated grip switch indicator will show specific displays. Follow the instructions below for inspection.
Heated Grip Switch Indicator Displays:
- Blink once: Check item 1.
- Blinks twice: Check items 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Blinks 3 times: Check items 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Indicator does not light on: Check items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Inspection Steps:
- Battery Inspection: Refer to the Service Manual and inspect the battery.
- Wire and Cable Check: Ensure wires and cables (terminals and connectors) are securely connected.
- Heated Grip Inspection: Check resistance between the terminals.
- Standard: Right: 8.2 ohms +/- 10%
- Standard: Left: 8.2 ohms +/- 10%
