See the diagrams FIG 1 and FIG 2. Notice the centerline ribs depicted as a dotted line. This centerline is standard across all sizes of Sprinter Van and can be used as a reference point when measuring your available wall space. Take the time to measure your available wall space and layout potential cabinet locations before installing. NOTE - Due to the amount of variability and specific needs of each vehicle, mounting hardware is not included. See Step 3 for more details regarding recommended hardware. In FIG 3, note the difference between the DIY Side Panel from the Stock Side Panel. The DIY Side Panel has a straight, steep angle while the Stock Side Panel has a curved edge that matches the shape of the factory headliner. NOTE - The DIY Side Panel is optimized for compatibility with square-edged DIY or similar Wall Panel Kits (like Adventure Wagon, for example. 2.2 Lay the Bottom Panel down on a soft, flat surface and insert (4) 1/4-20 x 0.75" Carriage Bolts into the slots as shown in FIG 4. 2.3 Align square mounting holes of the Front Panel with the carriage bolt studs and attach using (4ea) 1/4" Flat Washers and 1/4" Nylon Locknuts. 2.4 Attach Side Panels to assembly using (4ea) 1/4-20 x 0.75" Carriage Bolts, 1/4" Flat Washers and 1/4" Nylon Locknuts. DIY SIDE PANEL FIG 3 STOCK SIDE PANEL FIG 4 FIG 5 FL ATLINE VAN CO · SUPPORT@FL ATLINEVANCO.COM · 888-667-5576 06 STEP | 03 MOUNTING TO VAN The upper and lower mounting surfaces of the Cabinet have multiple horizontal slots to accept hardware for wherever and however you'd like to install them. It is recommended to install cabinets securely into the vans structural sheet metal using rivet nuts and screws for maximum performance. Sheet metal screws can also be used in some situations. The slots can accept 1/4" hardware (i.e. 1/4-20 or #12) for your reference. 3.1 With help, lift the cabinet to the desired location in the van. Identify which mounting slots will be used for the ceiling and wall mounting hardware. 3.2 Mark locations if necessary. 3.3 Mount cabinet with desired hardware (not included, see note on Page 5). 3.4 There are multiple slots available to accomodate whatever bungee cord pattern best suits your needs. See FIG 6 and FIG 7 for just a couple examples. PRO-TIP: Bracing the gaps between these mounting areas with wood or metal firing will provide more surface area for mounting your cabinet to the van. NOTE - You can simply tie off the cord with a double knot or purchase cord locks. The cord is 1/4" (or 6mm) for your reference.
