Description of Battery Charging

This product has built-in rechargeable batteries. When power is insufficient, please charge it promptly. Charging can be done in 2 modes.

Charging Mode 1:

Batteries are charged via the USB Type-C interface of the thermal image telescope. Unplug the USB wire after fully charged.

Charging Mode 2:

  1. Unscrew the battery cover and take out the batteries.
  2. Use the charger from the original manufacturer to charge the batteries. Install batteries properly according to the polarity indicated on the charger.
  3. After fully charged, disconnect power supply for the charger and remove the batteries.

Diagram shows a USB interface, battery slot, LED indicator, positive contact, and negative contact for the charger.

Description of Battery Installation

? Prompt: When this product is idle for extended periods, it should be charged at least every three months to prevent irreversible capacity loss due to deep discharge.

  1. Open the battery cover: Unscrew the battery cover counterclockwise.
  2. Install the lithium battery: Place the battery into the compartment with the negative pole facing outward.
  3. Install the battery cover: Tighten the battery cover clockwise.

Diagram illustrates battery installation with positive (+) and negative (-) terminals and the battery compartment.

Application of Color Palette

The palette menu allows changing the pseudo-color of the infrared thermal image, offering 6 palettes: rainbow, hot metal, white heat, black heat, yellow saturation, and bird watching mode. Choosing an appropriate palette enhances the display of target object details. For instance, the hot metal palette focuses on displaying colors, suitable for high thermal contrast and improving color contrast between high and low temperatures, while the white hot palette provides uniform linear colors.

Image effects from photos taken using the six color palettes are shown:

Application of Image Detail Mode

  1. Only one of the image edges or image details can be selected for adjustment to image quality.
  2. To achieve clearer and more stereoscopic image edges, select the image edge first, then the corresponding value on the image detail value setting.
  3. To improve overall image quality, select "details" first, then the corresponding value on the image detail value setting.

Calibration and Application of Cursors

  1. Before first use, mount the C8 product onto the equipment. As users may have various equipment, it is necessary to complete matched settings for the C8 product and the equipment. At different distances, the landing point and the C8 cursor must be calibrated consistently. Select the landing point distance (10m, 30m, 60m, 100m, 300m, 600m, or user-defined). Perform cursor calibration for each item, referring to previous operations.

Note: Target distances vary, and cursor coordinates may not be at the same point. Therefore, select the calibration distance accordingly to ensure the landing point coincides with the C8 cursor for more accurate aiming.

  1. During actual use, visually check the prey distance (e.g., about 10m) and extract the cursor calibrated for 10m. The cursor's center position will then align with the prey's center. Aim directly using the C8 product's cursor.
  2. Visually check the prey distance (e.g., about 100m) and extract the cursor calibrated for 100m. The cursor's center position will align with the prey's center. Aim directly using the C8 product's cursor.
