Husqvarna Automower® 310/315/315X Quick Guide
For comprehensive information and instructions, please refer to the complete Operator's Manual available on the Husqvarna website.
1. Installation and Connecting the Charging Station
Placement
Place the charging station in a central position within the working area, ensuring ample open space in front and a relatively horizontal surface.
Power Connection
Connect the power supply's low-voltage cable to the charging station and the power supply unit. Then, connect the power supply to a 100-240V wall socket.
Initial Charging
Place the robotic lawn mower in the charging station to charge the battery while you lay the boundary wire. Set the main switch to position 1.
2. Placement of Boundary Wire and Guide Wire
Boundary Wire
Lay the boundary wire to form a loop around the entire working area.
Guide Wire Connection Point
Create an eyelet (a small loop) in the boundary wire at the point where the guide wire will be connected later.
Guide Wire Routing
Run the guide wire from its starting point to the boundary loop eyelet. Avoid sharp angles when laying the wire.
3. Connecting the Boundary Wire and Guide Wire
Narrow passages in the yard can make it difficult for the robotic lawn mower to find the charging station. The guide wire assists the mower in quickly locating the station and can also lead it to remote areas.
Guide Wire Placement Relative to Station
Lay the guide wire under the charging station and extend it at least 2 meters (7 ft) straight out from the front edge of the charging station.
Connector Preparation
Open the wire connectors and insert the ends of the boundary and guide wires into the designated recesses within each connector.
Securing Connectors
Press the connectors together firmly using a pair of pliers.
Trimming Excess Wire
Cut off any surplus boundary wire, leaving approximately 1-2 cm (0.4-0.8") above the connectors.
Connecting to Charging Station
Press the connectors onto the contact pins marked AL (left) and AR (right) on the charging station. Ensure the right-hand wire connects to the right pin and the left-hand wire to the left pin.
Final Connection
Fasten the connector to the contact pin marked G1 on the charging station.
4. Connecting the Guide Wire to the Boundary Wire
Cutting Boundary Wire
Cut the boundary wire in the center of the eyelet created in step 2.2 using wire cutters.
Joining Wires
Connect the guide wire to the boundary wire using the provided couplers. Press the couplers completely together using pliers.
5. Starting and Stopping
Starting the Mower
Open the cover by pressing the [STOP button]. Set the main switch to position 1. For the first-time setup, a sequence will begin, including selecting a four-digit PIN. Then, press the [START button] and close the cover.
Stopping the Mower
Press the [STOP button].
6. Adjusting for Lawn Size
Mowing results are influenced by mowing time. Adjust the mowing schedule via the app to suit your lawn's needs. The mower's capacity is approximately:
- Automower® 310: 56 m²/hour (603 ft²/hour)
- Automower® 315: 68 m²/hour (732 ft²/hour)
- Automower® 315X: 73 m²/hour (786 ft²/hour)
For example, for an 800 m² (8600 ft²) lawn:
- Automower® 310: requires 15 hours/day
- Automower® 315: requires 12 hours/day
- Automower® 315X: requires 11 hours/day
7. Maintenance
Ensure the main switch is in position 0 for all chassis work, such as cleaning or blade replacement. Replace blades regularly for optimal mowing results.
Never clean the robotic lawn mower with a high-pressure washer, running water, or solvents.
If there is a risk of a thunderstorm, disconnect all connections to the charging station (power supply, boundary wire, and guide wire).
Fully charge the battery at the end of the season before storing the mower for winter.
8. Indicator Lights
The charging station and mower may display indicator lights to show status:
- Green solid light: Good boundary loop signal.
- Green flashing light: ECO mode is activated.
- Blue flashing light: Malfunction in the boundary loop.
- Red flashing light: Malfunction in the charging station's antenna.
- Red solid light: Fault in the circuit board or incorrect power supply. This requires attention from an authorized service technician.
