Introduction
This manual provides instructions for operating the Media-Tech MT5108 SMART RC DUPLICATOR. It covers procedures for duplicating various types of remote control codes and includes a comprehensive compatibility list.
Instructions
Fixed Code Duplicating Procedures
- Press and hold button 1 of the duplicator, then press button 2 four times.
- Release both buttons. The RED LED will emit a short flash every 2 seconds.
- Place the original remote control next to the duplicator, approximately 5 cm away.
- Press the button on the original remote control and wait for the RED LED on the duplicator to change its flashing pattern (faster flash) and color (BLUE). This confirms successful code learning and may take a few seconds.
- While the BLUE LED is flashing, press the button on the duplicator where you want to program the learned code. Hold it until the LED switches off. This may take a few seconds.
- Repeat the duplication process from step 1 for the remaining buttons.
Rolling Code (Simple Code) Duplicating Procedures
- Press and hold button 1 of the duplicator, then press button 2 four times.
- Release both buttons. The RED LED will emit a short flash every 2 seconds.
- Place the original remote control next to the duplicator, approximately 5 cm away.
- Press the button on the original remote control and wait for the RED LED on the duplicator to change its flashing pattern (faster flash) and color (BLUE). This confirms successful code learning and may take a few seconds.
- While the BLUE LED is flashing, press the button on the duplicator where you want to program the learned code. Hold it until the LED switches off.
- Repeat the duplication process from step 1 for the remaining buttons.
- Activate the correct procedure for your programmed model and insert the new remote control into the receiver (refer to the compatibility list in this manual).
Rolling Code (Complex Code) Duplicating Procedures
3.1: BFT System Remotes
- Press and hold button 1 of the duplicator, then press button 2 four times.
- Release both buttons. The RED LED will emit a short flash every 2 seconds.
- Place the original remote control next to the duplicator, approximately 5 cm away.
- Press the button to be programmed on the original remote control until the RED LED lights up solid; release the button.
- The RED LED on the duplicator will flash briefly every 2 seconds. This indicates that a SEED CODE must be emitted to complete the copy.
- To transmit the SEED CODE of the BFT original remote control, use a pin to press the rear hidden button (refer to the image) or, according to new references, press buttons 1 and 2 until the original remote control's LED lights up.
- The RED LED of the duplicator will now change its flashing mode (faster) and color (BLUE) to confirm correct code learning. This step may take a few seconds.
- At this moment, press the duplicator button where you want to store the code and hold it until the BLUE LED switches off. Repeat the duplication from step 1 for the remaining buttons.
- Activate the RCC procedure to insert the new remote control into the receiver.
3.2: V2 433-868 System Remotes
- Press and hold button 1 of the duplicator, then press button 2 four times.
- Release both buttons. The RED LED will emit a short flash every 2 seconds.
- Place the original remote control next to the duplicator, approximately 5 cm away.
- Press the button to be programmed on the original remote control until the RED LED lights up solid; release the button.
- The RED LED on the duplicator will flash briefly every 2 seconds. This indicates that a SEED CODE must be emitted to complete the copy.
- To transmit the SEED CODE of the V2 original remote control, press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously.
3.3: FAAC 433-868 System Remotes
Attention: Verify that the programming remote control is a MASTER. Pressing any button should result in a double flash of the LED, not a solid light.
- Prepare the FAAC/GENIUS remote control for SEED CODE emission. Press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously (Note: THESE ARE THE DIAGONAL LINE BUTTONS).
- While the FAAC/GENIUS remote control LED flashes, place it in front of the duplicator at a distance of 5 cm and press the button to be programmed until the RED LED of the duplicator changes its flashing mode (faster) and color (BLUE) to confirm correct code learning. This step may take a few seconds.
- At this moment, press the button where you want to store the code and hold it until the BLUE LED of the duplicator switches off. Repeat the duplication procedure from step 1 for the remaining buttons.
- The copying procedure is successful. Now check the automation for correct functioning of the new remote control by pressing the copied button twice.
Source Duplicator to New Duplicator Duplicating Procedures
- Press and hold button 1 of the NEW duplicator, then press button 2 four times.
- Release both buttons. The RED LED of the NEW duplicator will emit a short flash every 2 seconds.
- Place the SOURCE duplicator in front of the NEW duplicator, approximately 5 cm away.
- Keep pressing the button to be programmed on the SOURCE duplicator.
- For FIXED CODE OR ROLLING-SIMPLE CODE: Wait for the RED LED of the NEW duplicator to change its flashing pattern (faster flash) and color (BLUE), confirming correct code learning. This operation may take a few seconds.
- While the BLUE LED is flashing, press the button on the NEW duplicator where you want to program the learned code and hold it until the LED switches off.
- The copy procedure is successful. Now check the automation for correct functioning of the NEW duplicator remote control by pressing directly the button where the code has been programmed. If it does not work, proceed with inserting the NEW duplicator into the receiver, through its function if available, or through the procedures provided by the automation manufacturer.
- For ROLLING-COMPLEX CODE: The RED LED of the duplicator will emit a short flash every 2 seconds. This informs the user that to duplicate the remote control, the SEED CODE must be emitted.
- Transmit the SEED CODE of the SOURCE duplicator by pressing buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously for 3 seconds until the RED LED lights up. While the LED is flashing (within 10 seconds), press and hold the button where you want to program the SEED CODE.
- Now the RED LED of the NEW duplicator will change its flashing mode (faster) and color (BLUE) to confirm correct code learning. This step may take a few seconds.
- At this moment, press the button on the NEW duplicator where you want to store the code and hold it until the BLUE LED of the duplicator switches off.
Notes
- If the RED LED flashes only 3 times (RED color) and switches off, the code has not been learned correctly. Repeat the operation from step 1.
- The duplicator memory is completely re-writable.
- Remote controls marked with RCS or RCC should be programmed.
