Product Overview

This guide introduces the GEARWRENCH Professional Bidirectional Diagnostic Tool, model GWSMARTBT. It allows for OE-level diagnostics directly from your smart device.

Getting Started

Step 1: Connect the Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI)

Connect the VCI to your vehicle's OBDII port.

Step 2: Pair the Device via Bluetooth

On your mobile device, open the Bluetooth settings. Locate and select the device named GWSBT-XXXXXXX (the serial number found on your GWSMARTBT device) to establish a pairing.

Step 3: Activate Your Device

Launch the GWSMARTBT app. Enter your device's serial number (S/N), the activation code from your Product Identification Information card, your desired username, email address, and password. Confirm your password, then tap 'Activation' to complete the registration process.

Step 4: Confirm Bluetooth Connection

Within the GWSMARTBT app, navigate to 'More', then 'Settings', and select 'Bluetooth'. Find the paired device; a blue indicator light signifies a successful connection. You are now ready to perform diagnostics.
