Ensure your Nintendo Switch system is updated to the latest version. A Nintendo Switch system version of 16.0.0 or later is required to use the wireless controller.
- Connect your Nintendo Switch to the internet.
- From the HOME Menu, select "System Settings" and navigate to "System". Your current version is displayed under "System Update". Select "System Update" to get the latest version.
For more information, search "System Update" on the Nintendo Support website.
Battery Charging
The controller is pre-charged at the time of purchase. If the charging lamp is flashing red, connect the controller to the console using the included USB-C charging cable. Ensure the controller is fully charged before pairing. A full charge provides up to 30 hours of gameplay. Battery life may vary.
Note: To maintain battery capacity, charge the controller at least once every 45-60 days, regardless of usage. Battery capacity will gradually decrease over time with repeated charging.
