General Safety Warnings for Power Tools
Warning! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1. Work Area Safety
- Keep work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. Electrical Safety
- The tool's plug must match the outlet. Never modify the plug. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges, or refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Handle the power cord carefully. Never use the cord for carrying the power tool or yanking the cord to disconnect from the socket. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
- If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3. Personal Safety
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use the power tool if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety footwear, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, before picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
- Before turning the power tool on, remove any adjusting key or wrench. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper footings and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool or unexpected situations.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
- If devices are provided for the connection of dust extracting and collecting facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
- Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of the tool allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury in a fraction of a second.
4. Power Tool Use and Maintenance
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
- Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
- Store idle power tools out of reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
- Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakages of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
- Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
- Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
5. Battery Tool Use and Maintenance
- Charge only in a charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
- In abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek medical attention. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
- Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
- Do not expose battery pack or tool to fire or high temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130°C (265°F) may cause an explosion.
- Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instructions. Improper charging or charging at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
6. Service
- Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
- Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
Additional Safety Instructions for Power Tools
Warning! Additional safety instructions for wrenches and impact wrenches.
- When performing an operation where the fastener may contact hidden wiring, hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces. Fasteners contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Using the tool for purposes other than intended, or with accessories not recommended, may result in injury or property damage.

Charging the Battery (Fig. A)
The battery must be charged before first use and whenever the performance decreases noticeably. The battery may become warm during charging. This is a normal condition and does not indicate a fault.
Warning! Do not charge the battery if the ambient temperature is below 10°C (50°F) or above 40°C (104°F). Recommended ambient temperature for charging: approx. 24°C (75°F).
Note: The charger will not charge the battery if the cell temperature is below approximately 10°C (50°F) or above 40°C (104°F). The battery will remain in the charger, and the charger will automatically start charging it again once the battery cell temperature returns to the charging range. Note: For maximum battery performance and lifespan, fully charge the Li-Ion batteries before first use.
Before inserting the battery (6), connect the charger (10) to an appropriate mains socket.
- The green charging indicator (10a) will blink continuously, indicating the charging process has begun.
- Charging is complete when the green charging indicator (10a) is solid. The battery (6) is fully charged and can be removed and used, or left in the charger (10).
- Recharge discharged batteries within 1 week. The battery lifespan will be significantly reduced if it is stored in a discharged state.
Charger Mode LED Indicators
- Charging: Green LED indicator blinks
- Fully Charged: Green LED indicator is solid
- Battery Delay (Warm/Cold): Green LED indicator blinks, Red LED indicator is solid
Note: A faulty battery will not be charged in a compatible charger. The charger will indicate a faulty battery by not lighting up the indicator. This may also indicate a fault with the charger. If the charger indicates a fault, take the charger and battery to an authorized service center for testing.
Leaving the Battery in the Charger
The battery can be left in the charger indefinitely with the LED indicator lit. The charger will keep the battery fully charged.
Battery Delay (Warm/Cold)
When the charger detects that the battery temperature is too high or too low, it will automatically enter the Battery Delay mode. The green LED indicator (10a) will blink, and the red LED indicator (10b) will be solid, pausing charging until the battery reaches the appropriate temperature. The charger will then automatically switch to charging mode. This feature maximizes battery operating life.
Battery Charge Level Indicator (Fig. B)
The battery is equipped with a charge level indicator to quickly check the battery's remaining power, as shown in Fig. B. By pressing the charge level indicator button (6a), you can easily display the remaining battery charge, as shown in Fig. B.

Square Drive Shank (Fig. G)
Warning! Use only impact-rated accessories. Accessories not intended for impact use may break and cause a hazardous situation. Inspect accessories for cracks before use.
Warning! Before use, inspect the square drive shanks and retaining rings. Missing or damaged parts must be replaced before use.
- Secure the tool by setting the forward/reverse control (4) to the center position.
When installing accessories onto the square drive shank with a retaining ring, push the accessory with greater force onto the square drive shank (3). The retaining ring will compress, allowing the accessory to slide on. Once the accessory is in place, the retaining ring exerts pressure, helping to secure the accessory to the square drive shank.
To remove an accessory, grip the accessory and pull it off forcefully.
Operation
Warning! Let the tool work at its own pace. Do not overload it.
Selecting Rotation Direction (Fig. H)
- For tightening, use forward rotation (clockwise). For loosening, use reverse rotation (counter-clockwise).
- To select forward rotation, push the forward/reverse control button (2) to the left.
- To select reverse rotation, push the forward/reverse control button (2) to the right.
- To lock the tool, set the forward/reverse control to the center position.
Using the Tool (Fig. H)
Attach the accessory to the fastener head. Keep the tool aligned with the fastener. Press the trigger switch (1) to start operation. Release the trigger switch to stop operation. Always check the tightening torque with a torque wrench, as the tightening torque is influenced by many factors, including:
- Supply Voltage: Low supply voltage caused by a nearly discharged battery reduces the torque value.
- Accessory Size: If the wrong size accessory is used, the torque value will be lower.
- Screw Dimensions: Larger screw diameters generally require higher torque values. The torque value will also vary depending on the length, quality, and thread pitch.
- Screw: Ensure threads are free from corrosion and dirt to allow for proper torque application.
- Material: The type of material and surface quality of the material will also affect the torque value.
- Tightening Time: Longer tightening times will result in higher torque values. Using the tool for longer than recommended tightening times may cause excessive stress on the fastener and lead to overloading, breakage, or damage.
LED Work Light (Fig. H)
This work light (7) is activated when the trigger switch is pressed and automatically turns off 20 seconds after the trigger switch is released. If the trigger switch remains pressed, the work light will stay on. Note: The work light is intended for immediate illumination of the work surface and is not intended to be used as a flashlight.
