EcoFlow 60W Portable Solar Panel (Type-C) User Manual

60W Portable Solar Panel (Type-C)

Thank you for choosing EcoFlow portable solar panel

General Overview

Orient the panel towards the sun during use. It is recommended to use the panel on sunny days when there is ample sunlight.

Contains a DC5521 port and a Type-C port. Connect the ports to your devices for solar charging.

The panel has preset holes with an inner diameter of 8 mm. You can hang the panel with clips or hooks.

To store the panel, fold it, close the buttons, and place the panel in a vertical position.

Getting Started

Finding an Ideal Environment

To maximize the panel's output power, find an ideal environment before placing the panel.

Use the panel on sunny or predominantly sunny days

On a sunny day, sunlight is strong, and the panel produces more power. On cloudy or rainy days, sunlight is weak, and the panel's power decreases accordingly.

Minimize Shading

Do not let the panel be covered by shade, dust, leaves, excrement, or other debris. Otherwise, the panel's output power will decrease dramatically.

Panel Placement

Flat Use

Unfold the solar panel and lay it flat on the ground with the photovoltaic module facing up.

In different solar light conditions, you can prop the solar panel against other objects (like tents) to achieve a more vertical angle between the sunlight and the panel.

Hanging Use

Unfold the solar panel, insert hooks through the panel's preset holes, and fix it to a surface with rails or mesh.

For long-term use, ensure the panel is securely fixed to prevent it from falling in windy conditions.

Powering Your Devices

Via DC5521 Port

You can connect the panel to an EcoFlow portable power station to store energy or to an EcoFlow smart device to power the device directly.

Prerequisites

When using the panel with your devices, please ensure that the panel's maximum output parameters fall within the device's input range. Otherwise, your devices may be damaged. To connect the panel to a third-party device, please ensure that the device allows solar energy input and that the output ports and electrical parameters meet the panel's requirements.

Maximum Output Parameters

Refer to the panel's open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current.

How to Connect

Connect the panel's DC5521 port to the device's solar input port (XT60) using the provided DC5521 - XT60i cable.

Ensure the cable is firmly connected before use to prevent port melting caused by a faulty connection.

If the device port is not XT60 type, consult the device's user manual for connection instructions.

Via Type-C Port

You can connect the panel to consumer electronics such as a mobile phone, camera, or external battery for charging.

How to Connect

Prepare a Type-C charging cable and use it to connect the panel's Type-C port to the device.

If you have multiple solar panels, do not connect their Type-C ports to each other to avoid damage.

Storage and Maintenance

Storage

  • To store the panel, disconnect the cables, insert the dust caps, fold the panel, close the buttons, and place the panel in a vertical position.

Cleaning

  • Ensure the panel is not connected to portable power stations or other loads and that the panel surfaces have cooled to room temperature. Then, dampen a soft cloth with clean water, wring the cloth by twisting, and clean the panel surfaces with it. Avoid wiping or washing the ports during cleaning.

FAQ

  • Q: Is the panel waterproof?
A: The panel has an IP68 protection rating. Do not immerse the panel in water. If the panel gets wet in the rain or accidentally falls into water, check immediately if water has entered the ports. Wipe the ports with a dry cloth and let the solar panel air dry before using it again.
  • Q: Why is my panel not generating power?
A: Ensure the connection is correct and tight, and the environmental conditions, including sunlight, are ideal for solar energy generation. If the panel still does not generate power after excluding the above factors, contact EcoFlow official customer support.
  • Q: Can portable solar panels generate power in low light conditions, such as on rainy days or under indoor lighting?
A: Portable solar panels barely generate power in such circumstances, as they are made of monocrystalline cells, whose performance is limited by low light.
  • Q: Is the panel compatible with all EcoFlow portable power stations?
A: It depends on the panel's electrical parameters and the power station's solar input parameters.
