This user guide provides instructions for replacing the winch strap on the DK2 SAW8020 snowplow winch, specifically for the Old Style Winch model.

Replacement Procedure

Follow these steps to replace your old winch strap with a new one:

1. Locate the hex screw on the winch spool (labeled 1).

2. Remove the screw using an Allen key (labeled 2) and set it aside. Ensure you do not lose this screw, as it is required for reinstallation.

3. Use the provided tool (labeled 3) from your plow kit to begin removing the winch pin. Needle-nose pliers may also be used.

4. Screw in the provided tool (labeled 3) and pull the pin (labeled 4) free from the winch. This will allow the strap to be removed freely.

You have now successfully removed your old winch strap. To complete the replacement, take your new winch strap and reverse the steps outlined above.

Important Notes for Re-installation

NOTE: When re-installing the new winch strap, ensure the pin is inserted correctly. ✔️

The hole in the pin (labeled 4) must always align with the hex screw (labeled 1) to properly lock the winch pin in place.
