End Cap
An end cap (catalog number 5069-ECR) must be installed on the right side of the last module in a CompactLogix 5380 system. The end cap is shipped with the controller.
SHOCK HAZARD: The end cap covers exposed interconnections. Failure to install the end cap before powering the system can result in equipment damage or injury from electric shock.
Memory Cards
Memory cards (Secure Digital or SD cards) provide nonvolatile memory for user programs and tag data. The Logix Designer application allows manual saving/loading of data or configuration for power-up loading from nonvolatile memory.
A 1784-SD2 card is shipped with the controller. For additional SD cards, Rockwell Automation recommends using their 1784-SD1 (1 GB) and 1784-SD2 (2 GB) cards.
