Precautions
Installation Precautions
Always follow the instructions and precautions from the speaker stand manufacturer.
This speaker features a 36 mm socket for mounting on stands or on a subwoofer pole. When using a stand or pole, observe the following:
- Check the stand or pole specification to ensure the apparatus is designed to support the speaker's weight. Observe all manufacturer's regulations.
- Ensure the stand (or subwoofer/pole) is placed on a flat, stable surface and that you fully extend the stand's legs. Position the stand so that its legs do not create a hazard or obstacle.
- Use this floor stand only on a flat, firm surface. When the support (with extended pole) is set up, tighten the screws and secure the locks. After placing the speaker, check if the setup is stable: if tilted (from the base) up to 10 degrees in any direction, the speaker should not fall over. If necessary, reduce the height of the speakers and extend the stand's foot.
- Route cables so that artists, production personnel, and the public do not trip and knock over the speakers.
- Inspect the stand (or pole and associated hardware) before each use and do not use equipment with worn, damaged, or missing parts.
- Do not attempt to place more than one speaker from the PartyBox series on a single stand or pole.
- Always exercise caution in windy conditions when using outdoors. Additional weight (e.g., sandbags) may be needed to ensure extra stability. Do not attach banners or similar to any part of a speaker system. These can act as wind catchers and topple the system.
- Unless you are certain you can handle the speaker's weight, ask for assistance to place the speaker on the stand or pole.
