Airbrush Plush Toy Instructions

Getting Started

Prepare your workspace by covering your table or counter with newspaper or cardboard. Airbrush marker colors are washable but may stain certain surfaces or skin. Practice using the airbrush tool on paper before decorating your plush pet.

Stain Advisement: Airbrush colors may stain certain surfaces. Avoid using the airbrush near carpets, furniture, wood, or surfaces that are not washable or stain easily. Do not touch colors while wet. Be careful not to rub or transfer colors onto other surfaces while wet. Wait until colors are fully dry before handling.

Important Tips:

• After use, remove the airbrush marker from the gun and replace the cap. Store markers flat or with the cap side down for best results.
• If a marker tip seems dry, place a small drop of water on the felt tip and position it downward for a few minutes.
• If the airbrush nozzle becomes clogged or drippy, clean it with a paper towel.
• Always switch off the airbrush when not in use. Remove batteries if you do not plan to use it for an extended period.
• Never aim the nozzle or spray towards eyes, mouth, or body. Airbrush markers are not intended for use on skin.
• If colors accidentally transfer onto hands or skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
• For use with Airbrush Plush™ airbrush markers only. The colorants are specially formulated for washability and use on plush pets. The included markers are sized to fit and seal properly within the airbrush.

How to Use the Airbrush Tool

1. Insert Batteries: Adult assistance is required. Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the battery compartment, insert 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, and replace the screw.
2. Turn On: Switch the button to turn on the airbrush. Ensure it is switched to the 'OFF' (O) position when not in use.
3. Insert Marker: Select your first color, remove the cap, and insert the airbrush marker into the hole. Turn the marker slightly for optimal use and push it in all the way to create a seal for proper airflow. Practice spraying on paper before applying color to your plush pet.
4. Moisten Marker Tip: If the marker tip becomes dry from air flow, turn off the airbrush, remove the marker, dip the tip into a small amount of clean water, and gently dab the excess water onto a paper towel before reinserting it into the airbrush.
5. Decorate Plush Pet: Hold the airbrush about 0.5 inches (1.2 cm) away from your plush pet. Aim the nozzle where you wish to apply color. Use stick-on stencils to create different patterns or blended color effects. Replace the marker cap after use.
6. Changing Colors: Clean the nozzle when switching to a different marker color. Before spraying the new color onto the plush, spray it for a few seconds on paper to clear any residue from the previous color.

Using Stick-On Stencils

Reusable stick-on stencils can be used to create designs and patterns. See below for design ideas.

• For Colored Shapes: Remove the stencil from the sheet, remove the inner shapes, and stick the stencil onto the plush pet. Aim the airbrush at the cut-out shapes, keeping the nozzle about 0.5 inches (1.2 cm) from the surface while spraying.
• For White Masking Shapes: Remove the stencil from the sheet and stick it onto the plush pet. Aim the airbrush tip around the edges of the shape, keeping the nozzle about 0.5 inches (1.2 cm) from the surface while spraying.

After colors are dry, remove the stencils and return them to the sheet. Keep gloves on during removal in case any areas are still wet.

Drying and Washing

• Drying: Let the color dry thoroughly. Avoid touching the plush pet until it is fully dry to prevent smearing or transferring color. Drying time can vary (up to 24 hours) depending on the amount of color and humidity. Check for dryness by touching a small area first.
• Washing: Your plush pet can be washed to create new designs. Adult assistance is recommended.
• Sink: Hand wash under cool running water until all airbrush color is removed.
• Washing Machine: Wash separately in cold water. Squeeze out excess water and let dry completely before decorating again.

Special Features

Glow in the Dark Fabric: The wings and eye of the unicorn glow in the dark! Expose the plush to sunlight or a flashlight, then take it into a dark room to see it glow.

Safety Warnings

WARNINGS! Not suitable for children under 36 months. Small parts. Choking hazard. Remove all packaging elements before giving the toy to a child. Wash hands after use. Requires 2 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included). Use only specified battery types and sizes. Do not mix old and new batteries, or standard and rechargeable batteries. Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Do not short-circuit battery terminals. Do not dispose of batteries in fire; they may leak or explode. Dispose of batteries as household chemical waste at local recycling collection points.
