Android System
This manual provides detailed instructions for operating the Junsun RK Series Android system.
1. Home
The home screen provides quick access to various functions. It includes:
- 1. Back, Home, Task, Screen off: Controls for system navigation and power.
- 2. Video widget: Displays video content.
- 3. Bluetooth music widget: Controls for Bluetooth music playback.
- 4. Status Bar: Shows system status information.
- 5. Date & Time widget: Displays current date and time.
- 6. Radio widget: Controls for the radio function.
- 7. Music widget: Controls for music playback.
- 8. Display all applications: Accesses all installed applications.
- 9. Navigation, Settings, Bluetooth, Bluetooth music: Quick access icons for these functions.
2. Dropdown Menu
Slide down from the top edge to access the dropdown menu. Swipe down again to adjust screen brightness.
- 1. Screen brightness: Adjusts display brightness.
- 2. Notifications: Displays system notifications.
- 3. WLAN: Tap to turn Wi-Fi on/off. Long press to access WLAN settings.
- 4. Bluetooth: Tap to turn Bluetooth on/off. Long press to access Bluetooth settings.
- 5. Settings: Navigates to the main settings menu.
- 6. Restart: Prompts to restart the system.
3. Navigation
Google Maps
Google Maps is an electronic map service providing detailed satellite photos and real-time traffic information, nearby businesses, and points of interest.
4. Radio
- 1. Available stations list: Lists radio stations.
- 2. RDS feature settings: Access settings for Radio Data System.
- 3. Frequency adjustment: Manually adjust radio frequency.
- 4. ST function: Enables Stereo function.
- 5. Radio function status display: Shows current radio status.
- 6. Band switching: Switch between FM/AM bands.
- 7. Auto scan: Scans for available radio stations.
- 8. Auto browse: Browses available radio stations.
- 9. Local function: Enables local radio function.
- 10. Sound effects: Accesses sound effect settings.
CAUTION: RDS icons (2) and AF, TP, TA icons (5) may not appear if the radio is not RDS enabled.
5. Music
a. Function Description
- 1. Playlist selection: Select playing, favorites, or recent playlists.
- 2. Folder listing: List music files in folders.
- 3. Playlist display: Shows Playing/Favorites/Recent playlist.
- 4. Playback control: Play forward or backward.
- 5. Shuffle/Repeat: Activate shuffle or repeat modes.
- 6. Play last: Play the previous track.
- 7. Play/Pause: Play or pause music.
- 8. Play next: Play the next track.
- 9. Sound effect setup: Access sound effect settings.
2. Lyrics
Tap the album cover to view song lyrics.
3. EQ
Preset EQ options include Custom, Normal, Pop, Rock, Classic, and Jazz.
6. Video
- 1. Video file listing: List video files in folders.
- 2. Fullscreen: Enters fullscreen mode.
- 3. Play last: Play the previous video.
- 4. Play/Pause: Play or pause video.
- 5. Play next: Play the next video.
- 6. Playlist access: Access the video playlist.
CAUTION: For safety, video images cannot be viewed while the vehicle is in motion. Stop in a safe place and apply the parking brake to view video images.
7. Photo
Thumbnail images can be browsed by swiping left or right. Pinch to zoom in or out. You can set pictures as wallpapers.
8. AUX and AV-IN
1. AUX
Play audio from external portable audio players connected to the unit.
2. AV-IN
Display video output from connected devices.
CAUTION: For safety, video images cannot be viewed while the vehicle is in motion. Stop in a safe place and apply the parking brake.
9. Bluetooth Phone
1. First-time Bluetooth connection steps
- Step 1: Navigate to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and turn on the Bluetooth switch.
- Step 2: On your mobile phone, turn on Bluetooth to allow detection by the car system. Click on your mobile device's name to connect.
- Step 3: On your mobile phone, tap [PAIR] to confirm pairing.
- Step 4: After successful pairing, connect via Bluetooth.
2. Dial Pad
- Use the dial pad to enter phone numbers.
- Tap [2] to erase a single digit. Tap and hold [2] to erase the entire number.
- Tap [3] after entering the number to initiate the call.
Attention: For your safety, making phone calls while driving is prohibited.
10. Bluetooth Music
- 1. Play last: Play the previous track.
- 2. Song/Album/Singer: Displays current music information.
- 3. Play next: Play the next track.
- 4. Play progress bar: Shows playback progress.
- 5. Play forward/backward: Control playback direction.
- 6. Play/Pause: Play or pause music.
11. File Explorer
- 1. Back: Return to the previous screen.
- 2. Select All/Deselect All: Select or deselect all files.
- 3. HD device file: Access files on HD devices.
- 4. USB device file: Access files on USB devices.
- 5. Folder: Navigate through folders.
- 6. Video file: Access video files.
- 7. Music file: Access music files.
- 8. Photo file: Access photo files.
- 9. Select/Deselect: Select or deselect individual files.
12. Theme Switching
Select a theme from the theme interface and tap to confirm the switch. The switch is successful after a 3-second loading period.
13. SWC (Steering Wheel Control)
- Click the "Steering Wheel" program on the desktop to enter the learning interface.
- Tap "Reset" and then "Start".
- Select the key you want to set up.
- Press and hold the corresponding steering wheel button. Setup is successful when a green tick appears.
- Repeat 3-4 times to set up all keys.
- Tap "Save".
14. Third-Party Applications
YouTube
YouTube is a popular video platform for uploading, watching, and sharing video content.
Google Chrome
Chrome is a fast, lightweight, and secure web browser for internet browsing, searching, watching videos, and accessing web applications.
Google Play
Google Play is a widely used app store for Android devices, offering a variety of digital entertainment and utility applications.
Netflix
Netflix provides streaming movies, TV shows, and other programs, with a vast library of films, TV series, documentaries, and exclusive original content.
15. Phone Connect
Apple CarPlay (Wireless Connection)
Connect to CarPlay for intelligent and safe use of iPhone functions like navigation, calls, messages, music, and calendar. The system enters the CarPlay interface, connects to the car's Bluetooth, and prompts to "Use CarPlay" on the mobile device.
Android Auto (Wireless Connection)
Android Auto allows wireless connection of Android smartphones to the vehicle's entertainment system for applications, music, navigation, and communication. The system enters the Android Auto interface, connects to the car's Bluetooth, and prompts to "PAIR" on the mobile device.
16. Split Screen Display
Display two applications simultaneously on one screen. Tap [1] to enter the task menu, tap [2] to display the split screen button, and tap [3] to open the split screen display.
CAUTION: Supported split screen applications include Radio, Music, Navigation, Bluetooth music, and Settings. Unsupported applications cannot enable split screen display.
17. Settings
1. WLAN
- WLAN: Turn on the WLAN switch to scan for and list available networks.
- Wi-Fi hotspot: Turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot to allow nearby devices to connect to the system via Wi-Fi for shared network access.
2. Bluetooth
- Turn on the Bluetooth switch to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. If "Auto connect" is enabled, the system will automatically connect to matched devices.
- For first-time pairing, a Bluetooth connection request will appear on the mobile device. Tap "Pair" to establish the connection.
- Tap the "Device Name" to rename the device via a pop-up keyboard.
3. Sound
Adjust Media volume, System volume, BT HFP, and Phone ringer. Set favorite phone ringer and keypad tones.
4. Display
Adjust Backlight brightness, Boot Logo, Wallpaper, and Assistive touch. Set favorite pictures as wallpaper.
5. Vehicle Setting
Enable lamp detection to increase touchscreen brightness when vehicle lamps are on. Enable brake detection to prohibit video playback when the vehicle's brake is disengaged.
6. Navigation
Set Mix proportion, GPS test, and configure the navigation app to start on boot.
7. Languages and Input
Set Languages and Keyboards. Add languages and arrange their order. The default keyboard is Android Keyboard (AOSP). Manage installed keyboards.
8. Date and Time
Set Date, Time, Time zone, and Time format. Use Automatic unless overriding network values. Select 24-hour format on or off.
9. Accounts
Tap "Add Account" to sign in to your Google account. Enable automatic sync app data to sync with your Google account to the cloud.
10. System
Tap "System Restart" to shut down and restart the system. Tap "System Upgrade" to check for and install upgrades.
11. About Device
Display device information such as Serial number, Model & hardware, DDR, FLASH, and LCD Information.
Factory reset: Erases all internal data, including Google accounts, system and app data, settings, and other user data.
18. Rearview Camera
When the vehicle is in R gear, the system displays a reverse camera screen. The trajectory line is divided into three sections: 0.5m (red), 2m (yellow), and 3m (green).
Attention: Do not rely solely on the rearview camera system. Ensure surroundings are safe while driving. The system is for assistance only.
Q: How to connect the Junsun rearview camera?
A: 1. Red cable ② connects to the backup light "+".
2. Black cable connects to the backup light "-".
3. The reversing detection cable ④ (Brown color) connects to the red cable ③ extending from the video input cable.
