Delock USB Type-C™ Switch 2 to 1 Bidirectional

Description

This manual bidirectional switch by Delock is designed for connecting different devices with a USB Type-C™ port. It offers two distinct applications to enhance connectivity.

Functionality

Function 1: One Device, Two Computers

Connect a single USB Type-C™ device, such as a monitor or external storage, to two computers. A push button allows you to select which computer is connected to the device.

Function 2: Two Devices, One Computer

Connect two USB Type-C™ devices, like a monitor or a USB-PD charger, to a single computer. A push button enables selection of the device connected to the computer.

Flexible Use

The switch supports high-resolution graphics signals up to 8K. It is compatible with USB Type-C™ for SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps data transfer rates and supports Power Delivery (PD) up to 100 W, making it versatile for various applications.

Hardware Installation

Ensure all devices are turned off before installation.

1. Connect the USB data switch to your peripheral device and to your computers using suitable USB cables (sold separately).
2. Plug the USB-C™ power cable into a USB Type-A port or a power supply.
3. Power up your computers and the peripheral device. The device is now ready to switch between computers.

Operation

The LED on the USB data switch indicates which computer is currently connected to the peripheral device. To switch between computers, simply press the corresponding button.

Important Notes

• Do not switch to a computer that is in the process of booting.
• Before switching, ensure the connected USB device is not in use (e.g., for reading/writing data, printing).
• Use short, high-quality cables, especially for higher resolutions.
