⚠️ Important: Always use SPEAKER CABLES (not instrument cables) for all connections between the amplifier and speaker cabinets to prevent damage.
- To connect the amp to the cabinet, run a speaker cable with 1/4" connectors from the amp output to one of the 1/4" jacks.
- To link to a second cabinet, run another cable from the remaining 1/4" jack to the additional speaker cabinet.
Cabinet Combinations
Connecting and setting up BC208 speaker cabinets is straightforward. For safety, ensure stacked cabinets are stable and take precautions to prevent tipping over. Only two cabinets should be stacked vertically.
Visual Description of Cabinet Combinations:
- 2 x 208 speakers stacked: This configuration provides tremendous mid-range clarity, cut, and punch for a tight and articulate sound.
- 2 x 210 speakers stacked: This setup offers plenty of low-end and power, with a precise, fast, and defined tone typically associated with 10" speakers.
- 1 x 212 + 2 x 210: This combination delivers precision, full body, and enhanced low-end from the 2x12" cabinet, creating a powerful sound.
- 410 + 212: This is a cool combination for full low-end, precision, and body, offering a rich and complete sound profile.
Important Notes
- Impedance for BC208, BC210, BC212 is 8 Ohm.
- Impedance for BC410 is 4 Ohm.
- BC210, BC212, and BC410 use twist-locking professional connectors for input and link. Connections between these cabinets and the BC208 require cables with a 1/4" connector at one end and a twist-locking connector at the other.
- All TC Electronic bass amplifiers can drive two TC Electronic 8 Ohm cabinets.
- Depending on the amplifier model, a BC410 (4 Ohm) cabinet can be combined with one or two other 8 Ohm cabinets.
- WARNING: Connecting an invalid combination of cabinets may activate the amplifier's protection mode, but the amplifier will not be damaged.
