Smart ZigBee LCD Temperature and Humidity Sensor E6
You will need the Nous Smart Home App. Scan the QR code or download it from the direct link.
Register with your mobile number/E-mail then login.
A ZigBee Hub/Gateway E1 is required.
Know about the sensor.
Button
- Enter configuration mode: Press and hold the button for 5 seconds until the screen blinks. The device will enter configuration mode.
- Shift °C/°F: Double-click to cycle switching between °C and °F temperature units.
- Trigger to report: Single-click to report its current status to the cloud server.
Screen
The screen displays the current temperature (e.g., 28.354°C or °F), humidity (%), signal strength, and time (e.g., 11:28).
Temperature Indicators:
- Smile face: Indicates temperature is between 18°C and 28°C (inclusive).
- Cry face: Indicates temperature is below 18°C or above 28°C.
Signal: Indicates online/offline status.
Battery: Blinks at a low battery level.
On the back
The back of the sensor features the battery compartment which requires 2 AA batteries.
Quick Installation Guide
Note: The smart gateway must be added first before adding the sub-device.

Power on the sensor:
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert the batteries into the battery compartment, noting the positive and negative terminals.
- Close the battery cover.

Add subdevice:
You will need your Nous ZigBee Gateway/Hub. Open the “Nous Smart Home” app, enter the gateway homepage, and click “Add subdevice”.
Press the reset button for 5 seconds until the screen blinks. Then, click the confirm button which shows “LED already blink” and follow the in-app instructions to connect the sensor to your gateway.
Wait for a few seconds. The device is added successfully, and you may rename it. Click “Done” to finish the setting.

Nous Smart Home app settings:
- Temperature unit setting: In the app, navigate to settings and select your preferred temperature unit (°C or °F). This can also be converted by double-clicking the sensor's button.
- Temperature update sensitivity setting: Adjust the frequency of temperature updates in the app settings.
- Low temperature alarm and High temperature alarm settings: Set custom temperature thresholds for alarms.
- Enable/disable alarm settings: Configure notifications for high temperature, low temperature, and low battery levels.
