Features
Top Panel
- Input Gain: Adjusts the input gain. Set the knob so the Signal/Clip LED indicates a healthy level without clipping.
- Signal/Clip LED: Green indicates a signal is detected. Red indicates the signal level is too high, causing distortion. Adjust Input Gain or source output level if red.
- Monitor Level: Adjusts the output volume for the Main Outputs and Headphone Output.
- +48V (Phantom Power) LED: Illuminates when phantom power is engaged for the Combo Input.
Rear Panel
- USB Port (Type B): Connects the M-Track Solo to a computer for audio transfer. Requires USB 2.0 or higher.
- Main Outputs: Use RCA cables to connect to powered monitors or an amplifier system. The mix is controlled by the Direct/USB Switch, and the level by the Monitor Level knob.
Front Panel
- Combo Input: Connect microphones (XLR or 1/4" TRS cable) or line-level devices.
- 1/4" Input: For line-level signals (1/4" TRS cable) or guitars/basses with active pickups (1/4" TS cable).
- Line/Instrument Switch: Set to Line for microphones or keyboards, and Instrument for guitars or basses.
- +48V (Phantom Power) Switch: Activates +48V phantom power for the Combo Input. Use only if your microphone requires it. Consult your microphone's documentation.
- Headphone Output: Connect 1/8" (3.5 mm) TRS headphones. The mix is controlled by the Direct/USB Switch.
- Direct/USB Switch: Controls whether the direct input signal or the USB return signal is sent to the headphone and main outputs. Set to USB for computer audio playback only. Set to Direct to monitor the input signal directly, summed to mono.
Connection Diagram
The diagrams illustrate the rear and front panel connections for monitors, computer, guitar, microphone, and headphones. The note emphasizes using the +48V phantom power switch only when a microphone requires it, and consulting the microphone's documentation.
