DocumentDocumentInstallation Guide Part Number OLME.16049.1 Last Updated 10/10/2024 OLM 2015-2017 Ford F150 Bi-Beam Headlight Install Guide Fitments: · 2015-2017 Ford F150 Tools Needed: · 8 and 10mm Sockets and Ratchet · Plastic Trim Removal Tools · Phillips Head Screwdriver Things to Note: · This is a fairly basic installation and should only take 1-2 hours to complete · Be sure to follow recommended torque specs during the install. · No ECU tuning or re-calibration is required after installation. Before you Begin: Turn off the ignition. Loosen battery terminal and disconnect the negative battery terminal cable. Allow the vehicle to sit for a minimum of 5 minutes to drain any remaining charge from the charging system. 2 1 Start by opening the hood and removing the push pin sercuring the headlight cover. 2 Remove the two 7mm bolts in the wheel well. If equipped, use a trim tool to disconnect the fender flare from the headlight cover. Be cautious to lift the pins, not just pull on the flare, to avoid damage. 3 3 The headlight cover is now olnly held by pressure fittings. Carefully pull the cover straight away from the body, working from one end to the other. 4 Remove the six 10mm bolts and the one 8mm bolt from the bottom of the headlight bracket. In the wheel well, remove the push pin securing the wheel well liner to the lower bracket. 4 5 Pry down on the two pressure fittings under thhe bracket to release it from the bumper. Use needle nose pliers to compress the clip holding the side of the bracket. Fully remove the bracket. 6 Remove the two 10mm bolts on top of the headlight and gently pry up the spring-loaded clip next to these bolts to release the upper portion of the headlight 5 7 Use a 6" extension and a 10mm socket to remove the hidden headlight bolt. With all the bolt removed, pull the headlight straight out, as it is only held by a pressure fitting now. 8 Disconnect all electrical connections. 6 9 Remove the three T25 Torx bolts holding the bracket to the OEM headlight and install it onto the OLM headlight. Hand thread all bolts before final tightening. 10 Install the DRL harness into fuse socket #14 (10A) in the fuse box. Route the harness to each side of the truck - shorter connector to the passenger's side, longer to the driver's side. 7 11 For factory equipped LED vehicles, attach the supplied harnesses to the headlight. This makes the headlights plug and play. 12 Connect all electrical connectors and function test the headlights.
