General Information & Safety
This publication is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a legally binding Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). The relevant MSDS can be obtained upon request from your supplier or by contacting BASF directly at sales@basf-3dps.com. For specific advice, please refer to the country-specific MSDS.
Storage Conditions and Disposal Considerations
Keep the container tightly closed in a room temperature, well-ventilated place. Ensure the container remains dry. If material is not being used, refill it into the corresponding material bottle through a filter. The filter prevents cured pieces or failed prints from being returned to the bottle. Ultracur3D® RG 35 B must be disposed of or incinerated in accordance with local regulations.
For more information, please refer to the country-specific MSDS for advice.
Delivery Units
Ultracur3D® RG 35 B is available in the following packaging sizes: 1 kg and 5 kg.
Intended Use
Ultracur3D® RG 35 B is a technical material based on (meth-)acrylate resin, suitable for SLA, LCD, and DLP systems. It operates with a working wavelength of 355 nm, 385 nm, or 405 nm. A list of suggested 3D printers and printing parameters is attached. For more information, contact BASF directly at sales@basf-3dps.com.
Example of Suitable 3D-Printers and Settings
PRINTER | MIICRAFT ULTRA 125 |

Wavelength | 385 nm |
Power | 4.5 mW/cm² |
Curing time | 4.25 s |
Voxel depth | 75 µm |
Printing Process
Preparation of Resin
The material should be processed at room temperature. Before usage, shake the material well. Pour it slowly into the vat and wait a couple of minutes until a smooth, bubble-free surface is obtained before starting the print job.
Printing Process
The printer examples and setting parameters provided are for general guidance only. Users should always define optimal settings based on their specific needs. Refer to the Instruction of Use or User Guide of the employed 3D-Printer for printer settings and handling.
Removing parts
Carefully remove the parts from the build platform using a suitable tool. For more information, consult the Instruction for Use of the used 3D-Printer.
Cleaning and Post Curing Process
Cleaning Process
Ultracur3D® RG 35 B parts can be cleaned with a Glycol Ether based solvent, such as Ultracur3D® Cleaner & 2-propanol. Follow the cleaning procedure below:
Cleaning with Ultracur3D® Cleaner & 2-propanol
Step 1: Place the parts in a container filled with Ultracur3D® Cleaner and immerse this container in an Ultrasonic bath filled with water for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Rinse the parts with 2-propanol for a few seconds. For fine structures or holes, use 2-propanol with a syringe or brush for better cleaning. Subsequently, place the parts in a container filled with 2-propanol and immerse this container in an Ultrasonic bath filled with water for 3 minutes.
Step 3: Blow dry the parts with compressed air or nitrogen until clean.
Drying
Place the parts into a warming cabinet at 40°C for 30 minutes.
Post Curing
Ultracur3D® RG 35 B parts require adequate post-curing to achieve optimized final mechanical properties. After each post-curing cycle, the part must be flipped to ensure even curing.
Examples of Post Curing Procedures (MiiCraft Ultra 125)
Post-curing unit | Dymax ECE 2000 flood |
---|---|
Amount of cycles | 2 |
Duration of one curing cycle | 600 seconds |
Finishing Process
Remove support structures and smooth the surface as necessary.
These procedures are general guidelines. Optimal printing settings and curing times must be determined by the user. Post-curing may vary depending on the 3D printer and post-curing unit used, potentially requiring different settings.
