Promotional Warranty Event

GOODWE announces that the product warranty for Lynx U G3, Lynx A G3, Lynx C, Lynx D, Lynx U G2, Lynx U G1, Lynx FH-US, Lynx F G2, and BAT 50 models will be extended from 5 to 10 years, provided all the following conditions are met simultaneously:

  1. The battery must operate with a GOODWE inverter.
  2. Lynx U G3, Lynx A G3, Lynx C, Lynx D, Lynx U, Lynx FH-US, Lynx F G2, and BAT 50 series must have been first operated after January 1, 2024.
  3. The inverter must be connected to the GOODWE SEMS portal and successfully transmit data.
  4. The inverter and battery must be installed in one of the following South American countries: Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, or Venezuela.
  5. The battery must have been produced after January 1, 2024.
  6. The serial numbers of the inverter and batteries must be registered at: https://sam-warranty.semsportal.com/#/

Warranty Conditions

  1. The defect must occur within the battery system's warranty period.
  2. Failures or alerts causing abnormal operation must be reported within two weeks, as described in “HOW TO CLAIM THE LIMITED GOODWE WARRANTY”.
  3. Installation must be performed by a trained professional or authorized installer.
  4. The end-user must operate the system according to the User Manual and Installation Guide.
  5. The end-user must provide the original proof of purchase.
  6. For other exclusions and limitations, refer to the terms of the GOODWE Limited Warranty.

How to Claim the Limited GoodWe Warranty

If the claimant wishes to activate the warranty, they must contact the local distributor where the battery system was purchased or the installer who performed the installation. If no attention is received or if unsatisfied, the claimant can register a case and request assistance directly through: https://goodwetechnology.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb

To provide friendly and timely service, GOODWE collaborates with many distributors and installers worldwide. Please consider them as the default service channel for GOODWE warranty requests. GOODWE will provide support and audit these service channels to ensure quality customer care.

Please have the following information ready:

  1. Claimant's contact details: name, company, phone, email, and shipping address.
  2. Defective product information: model, serial number, installation date, and failure date. Claims must be made within 90 days of failure; otherwise, GOODWE will assume the customer waives their warranty rights.
  3. Installation information: brand, model, and quantity of photovoltaic modules.
  4. Error message displayed in the app (if applicable) and other error details.
  5. Description of actions taken before the failure and information on previous claims (if any).

GOODWE may schedule an on-site technical inspection. The claimant is responsible for allowing access, scheduling, and ensuring the technician's safety.

Corrective Actions

If a warranty-covered defect is confirmed, GOODWE may, at its sole discretion:

  1. Correct the failure by reconfiguring or updating the software.
  2. Repair the system by replacing parts.
  3. Replace the system with a new or refurbished unit with equivalent or superior functionality. The remaining warranty will transfer to the new equipment and, if less than 6 months, will be extended by that period.
  4. If the issue is due to incorrect installation, GOODWE may ask the installer to correct the installation before performing any repair or replacement. GOODWE reserves the right to charge a handling fee if the system is not covered by the warranty. Replaced parts become GOODWE's property.
  5. All battery system parts replaced by GOODWE will become GOODWE's property. If the battery system is determined not to be covered by this Limited Warranty, GOODWE reserves the right to charge a handling fee.

What Is and Is Not Covered

Unless specifically agreed, the warranty covers only the cost of materials necessary to restore the equipment's functionality. Shipping costs may be covered in some regions. In standard cases, only the shipping of the replacement unit is covered. The customer is responsible for any additional costs. If the defective unit is not returned within 4 weeks, or if no defect is found, GOODWE will issue an invoice for the replacement equipment.

The claimant must cover any additional costs or costs incurred by using another transportation method. In some cases, the claimant must arrange for the return of the allegedly defective battery system to GOODWE and coordinate the shipping schedule with GOODWE in advance.

Since battery systems must be packaged in suitable conditions, GOODWE suggests using packaging material of the same size as the original package at the time of purchase.

If the allegedly defective battery system is not returned within 4 weeks of the claimant receiving the replacement unit, or if no damage is found after inspecting the returned battery system, GOODWE will issue an invoice to the claimant for the replacement unit, plus shipping and associated service charges.

Warranty Exclusions

  1. Normal wear and tear (including, without limitation, battery wear).
  2. Any defect occurring after the limited warranty period expires (except for additional warranty extension agreements).

Damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect by the End-User, not conforming to the User Manual.

  5. Disassembly, repair, or modifications performed by third parties not authorized by GOODWE. Product modifications, design changes, or replacement of parts not approved by GOODWE.

  3. Logistics fee: cost of delivery and other expenses incurred when defective products are shipped from the user to GOODWE and/or repaired products are shipped from GOODWE to the user.

Geographic Scope

The terms and conditions of this limited warranty apply only to devices originally purchased through GOODWE authorized channels and installed at the defined destination within the South American market, unless specific terms are agreed upon between GOODWE and the direct buyer. For units sold in one country/region but installed in another, the warranty will be void unless GOODWE has granted written confirmation or approval prior to installation.

Limitation of GoodWe's Liability

This limited warranty applies to the battery system sold and installed after January 1, 2024. It constitutes the end-user's sole and exclusive remedy against GOODWE, as well as GOODWE's sole and exclusive liability concerning defects in the battery system.

This limited warranty **replaces all other warranties and liabilities of GOODWE, whether oral, written, statutory (non-mandatory), contractual, tortious, or otherwise, including, but not limited to, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied condition, warranty, or term as to satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose.**

However, this limited warranty does not exclude or limit any of your statutory rights (statutory) under applicable national laws.

To the extent permitted by applicable law(s), GOODWE assumes no liability for loss, damage, or corruption of data, for any loss of profits, loss of use of the battery systems or their functionality, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of anticipated revenue or savings, increased costs or expenses, nor for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages or losses.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GOODWE's liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the battery system. The foregoing limitations shall not apply in case of gross negligence or willful misconduct by GOODWE, nor in case of death or personal injury resulting from proven negligence by GOODWE.

*The manufacturer's warranty is a basic warranty promise that GOODWE offers to end-users. In some countries or regions, end-users may receive an additional warranty promise (which must be at least equivalent to the manufacturer's warranty), which is provided by the local GOODWE distributor. In case of claims related to this, they should be directed to the local distributor.
