Getting to Know Your Phone
Phone Components:
Front View: Earpiece, Sliding switch, Infrared sensor, Under-display front camera, Volume key, Power key, Under-display fingerprint sensor, Speaker, Flicker sensor, NFC area, USB Type-C headset jack.
Back View: Back cameras, Camera key, Laser autofocus sensor.
Other: nano-SIM card tray.
Setting Up Your Phone
The nano-SIM cards can be installed or removed while the phone is turned on.
WARNING! To avoid damage to the phone, do not use any other kind of SIM cards, or any non-standard nano-SIM card cut from a SIM card. Obtain a standard nano-SIM card from your service provider.
- Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole on the card tray.
- Pull out the card tray and place the nano-SIM card(s) flatly on either side of the tray. Carefully slide the tray back into place.
NOTES: Please use the tray eject tool included in the box. If two nano-SIM cards are installed, both can connect to the 5G network, and you can use either card for mobile data.
CAUTION: Never replace the included tray eject tool with sharp objects. Ensure the tray eject tool is perpendicular to the hole to avoid damaging the phone. Do not insert the tray eject tool into other holes on the phone.
Charging the Phone
Your phone's battery should have enough power to turn on, find a signal, and make a few calls. Fully charge the battery as soon as possible.
WARNING! Use only nubia-approved chargers and USB Type-C cables. Unapproved accessories could damage your phone or cause the battery to explode. Do not remove the back cover; the battery is not removable and removal may cause fire or explosion.
- Connect the adapter to the charging jack.
- Connect the charger to a standard AC power outlet.
- Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged.
NOTES: If the battery is extremely low, you may be unable to power on the phone even when charging. Try again after charging for at least 20 minutes. Contact customer service if the phone still cannot power on after prolonged charging.
Powering On/Off & Waking Up Your Phone
Ensure the battery is charged before powering on.
To Power On: Press and hold the Power key.
To Power Off: Press and hold the Power key until the power off/restart menu appears, then touch the power off icon (represented by a circle with a vertical line). [Power Icon]
NOTES: If the screen freezes or is unresponsive, press and hold the Power key for over 10 seconds to restart the phone.
Your phone automatically enters sleep mode when not in use. The display turns off to save power, and keys are locked.
To Wake Up:
- Press the Power key to turn the screen on.
- Swipe up on the screen.
NOTES: If you have set up face verification, fingerprint, an unlock pattern, PIN, or password, you will need to use these to unlock your screen.
Lowering Blue Light (Eye Comfort)
Blue light (415 nm to 455 nm) can cause eye discomfort, suppress melatonin, and affect sleep. This product has a function to reduce blue radiant energy.
To avoid eye fatigue, place the product at an appropriate distance and rest your eyes by looking into the distance for 20 minutes after two hours of continuous viewing.
To enable eye protection: Open the Settings app, touch Display > Eye comfort > Turn on now. Use 'Turn on automatically' for protection between sunset and sunrise or during customized times. You can also adjust the blue light filter intensity.
Safety and Handling Precautions
General Safety
- Do not make or receive phone calls while driving. Never text while driving.
- Keep your phone at least 5 mm away from your body while making calls.
- Small parts may cause choking.
- To prevent hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Exercise caution when holding the phone near your ear while the loudspeaker is in use.
- Avoid contact with anything magnetic.
- Keep away from pacemakers and other electronic medical devices.
- Turn off the phone when asked to in hospitals, medical facilities, on aircraft, at airports, or near explosive materials or liquids.
- Do not use at gas stations.
- Your phone may produce a bright or flashing light.
- Do not dispose of your phone in fire.
- Avoid extreme temperatures.
Product Handling
- Always treat your phone and accessories with care and keep them clean.
- Keep the screen and camera lens clean.
- Clean your phone and accessories with a soft material (e.g., eyeglass cleaning cloth). Do not use alcohol or corrosive substances.
- Do not expose your phone or accessories to open flames or lit tobacco products.
- Avoid contact with liquids; keep your phone dry.
- Do not drop, throw, or try to bend your phone or accessories.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or aerosols.
- Do not paint your phone or accessories.
- Do not attempt to disassemble your phone or accessories; only authorized personnel can service them.
- Do not place your phone inside or near heating equipment or high-pressure containers.
- Check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.
- Do not carry your phone in your back pocket, as it could break when you sit down.
Battery Safety
- Using unapproved or incompatible batteries, chargers, or power adapters may damage your device, shorten its lifespan, or cause fire, explosion, or other hazards.
- Recommended operating temperatures: 0 °C to 35 °C. Storage temperatures: -20 °C to +45 °C. Extreme temperatures can damage the device and reduce battery capacity and lifespan.
- WARNING! Do not remove the back cover. The battery is not removable. Removal may cause fire or explosion.
- Do not change or replace the built-in rechargeable battery yourself. Only Nubia or an authorized service provider can do this.
- Do not place the device or battery near heating equipment (microwaves, stoves, radiators) or in direct sunlight. Overheating can cause explosion or fire.
- Do not disassemble, squeeze, or puncture the device; this can cause explosion or fire.
- Do not throw the device into a fire.
- Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging.
- For long periods of non-use, charge the battery about halfway and store in a cool, dry place.
- If the battery is damaged, swelling, or leaking, stop use immediately and contact Nubia or an authorized service provider for replacement.
Small Children
Keep phones and accessories out of reach of small children. They could hurt themselves or others, or damage the phone. The phone contains small parts that may cause injury or choking hazards.
Demagnetization
To avoid demagnetization, do not allow electronic devices or magnetic media close to your phone for extended periods.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Do not touch the metal connectors on the nano-SIM card.
Antenna
Do not touch the antenna unnecessarily.
Normal Use Position
When making or receiving calls, hold the phone to your ear with the bottom towards your mouth.
Airbags
Do not place a phone in or near an airbag deployment area, as airbags inflate with great force and can cause serious injury. Store the phone in a safe area before driving.
Seizures/Blackouts
The phone can produce bright or flashing lights. A small percentage of people may be susceptible to seizures or blackouts when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns. If you have a history of seizures or blackouts, consult a physician. To reduce risk, use the phone in a well-lit room and take frequent breaks.
Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI)
To minimize RSI risk when texting or gaming:
- Do not grip the phone too tightly.
- Press buttons lightly.
- Use features like Message Templates and Predictive Text.
- Take frequent breaks to stretch and relax.
Emergency Calls
This phone operates using radio signals and cannot guarantee connection in all conditions. Never rely solely on this phone for emergency communications.
Loud Noise
The phone can produce loud noises that may damage hearing. Turn down the volume before using headphones or Bluetooth headsets.
Phone Heating
Your phone may become warm during charging and normal use.
Electrical Safety
- Use only approved accessories. Do not connect incompatible products.
- Take care not to allow metal objects (coins, key rings) to contact or short-circuit the charging port.
- Never puncture the phone surface with sharp objects.
Connection to Vehicles
Seek professional advice when connecting a phone interface to a vehicle's electrical system.
Faulty and Damaged Products
Do not attempt to disassemble the phone or accessories. Only qualified personnel can service them. If the phone or accessories have been submerged, punctured, or severely dropped, do not use them until checked by an authorized service center.
Radio Frequency (RF) Energy & Exposure
General Statement on RF Energy
Your phone transmits and receives RF energy when ON. The system controls the transmission power level.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg. The highest SAR values for this device, tested at the head and with 5 mm body separation, were below the limit. Detailed SAR information is available on the ZTE website: https://certification.ztedevices.com.
Body Worn Operation
To comply with RF exposure guidelines, the phone must be used with a minimum of 5 mm separation from the body. Failure to do so may exceed guideline limits.
Limiting Exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Fields
For those concerned about RF field exposure, the World Health Organisation (WHO) advises:
Precautionary measures: Scientific information does not indicate a need for special precautions. Individuals concerned may limit RF exposure by limiting call length or using hands-free devices to keep the phone away from the head and body.

Distractions
- Driving: Full attention is required for driving. Using a phone while driving can cause distraction and accidents. Comply with local laws restricting wireless device use while driving.
- Operating Machinery: Full attention is required for operating machinery to reduce accident risk.

Battery Caution:
- There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
- Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire, hot ovens, or crush/cut them, as this can result in an explosion.
- Extremely high temperatures or low air pressure can cause battery explosion or leakage.
Proper Use
Use the device only in the right location as described. Avoid touching the antenna area unnecessarily. Do not expose the device to temperatures below -10 °C or above +40 °C.
Disposal of Your Old Appliance

All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from municipal waste via designated collection facilities. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.
