Getting started 4.1 Inserting / changing the batteries Warning - Batteries · When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding. · Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type. · Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts. · Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision. · Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers. · Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency). 1 2 · Do not short-circuit batteries. · Do not charge batteries. · Do not burn batteries. · Keep batteries out of the reach of children. · Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals. · Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay. · Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes). 3 4 5 Flashing 30 sec. · Press the battery symbol on the housing and pull the housing cover upwards over the control dial. · Remove the spent batteries and dispose of them if required. Insert two new batteries of type AA. Take care to ensure the correct polarity as shown in the diagram in the battery compartment. · "LA" flashes on the display. · Close the battery compartment by pushing the housing cover back onto the control dial. · Wait for around 30 seconds until the "LA" display lights up solid. The thermostat can now be fitted to the radiator. 4.2 Fitting the adapter · Thanks to the union nut, the thermostat can be fitted to all valves with the thread dimensions M30 x 1.5 mm from the most common brands such as Heimeier, MNG, Junkers, Landis+Gyr (Duodyr), Honeywell-Braukmann, Oventrop, Schlösser, Comap, Valf Sanayii, Mertik Maxitrol, Watts, Wingenroth (Wiroflex), R.B.M, Tiemme, Jaga, Siemens and Idmar. · With the adapters included in the extent of delivery, the device can also be fitted to radiator valves of type Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Caleffi and Giacomini. To fit the attachments, please follow the instructions below for the respective part. Danfoss RA and Danfoss RAV · While fitting, ensure that the pins inside the adapter cover the same position as the notches on the valve. · Fully attach the adapter appropriate for your valve. · During fitting, you may need to use a screwdriver and bend the adapter slightly in the area of the screw bushing. This will enable the adapter to be pushed more easily onto the valve. After locking it onto the body of the valve, secure the adapter using the enclosed screw and nut. Danfoss RAV · On Danfoss RAV valves, the tappet extension must be placed on the valve pin before fitting. Caleffi · Please place the Caleffi adapter directly on the valve. Giacomini · To fit the Giacomini adapter, please first attach the top piece, then place the tappet extension on the valve pin, and then finally secure the piston to the thermostat. 4.3 Fitting on the radiator valve Warning - fitting · Never apply force during the fitting process. This can damage your device. · Ensure that the radiator is switched off and has cooled down before starting to fit any attachments. 1 2 Flashing 30 sec. · Place the thermostat straight on the valve and tighten the union nut. · Fit the thermostat so that the LED indicator remains visible for you. · Press the control dial (1). The "LA" display starts to flash. The radiator thermostat now carries out an adaptation run. · Once the adaptation run has been carried out, the display shows the current temperature. If it does not, carry out the above steps again. 4.4 Fitting the central control unit Flashing Warning · Only operate the product from a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible. · Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket. · If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the power strip's maximum throughput rating. · If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power. · Connect the enclosed micro-USB cable to the micro-USB socket and the USB power supply unit. · Connect the power supply unit to a properly installed and easily accessible mains socket. · The LEDs start to flash. 4.5 Installing the app · Download the "Hama Smart Home" app using the QR code and install it. https://link.hama.com/ app/smart-home 4.6 Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home App Pairing the central control unit · To pair the radiator thermostat with the Hama Smart Home App, you must first integrate the central control unit into the Hama Smart Home App. · Ensure that the central control unit is connected to the power supply and that the LEDs are flashing. 1 · Open the app and select "My home" at the bottom left-hand edge of the screen. · Then tap the "+" at the top right-hand edge of the screen and select the category "Heating control". · Confirm in the app that the central control unit is flashing. · Now enter the name of your WiFi network and the password. Confirm your entry with "OK". The central control unit is now connected. Connecting Now My Home 2 · Once successfully connected, the red LED lights up solid and the app confirms that the central control unit has been connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish. Lights up solid Done Added successfully 3 · Touch "Done". The procedure is complete. · Now connect the radiator thermostats with the central control unit. · To do this, select your central control unit in the app from the list of found devices. · The following screen appears: Radiator thermostat pairing 1 · Turn the control dial on the radiator thermostat to the left until the display shows "OF". · The "OF" becomes visible if you look at the display from the direction of the control dial. If no "OF" appears, turn the dial in the opposite direction. · If the display goes out, turn the dial slightly until the display lights up again. 2 · Press and hold the control dial for around 5 seconds until the "OF" display goes out and "- -" appears. 5 sec. 3 · In the app, press "Add secondary device". · Confirm with "LED is already flashing". · In the "Find device" screen in the app, you will now see all of the thermostats that the central control unit could find. · The search takes around 15 seconds. Over large distances or if the connection is poor, this process may take up to 2 minutes. · Press "Done" once your thermostats have been found. 4 · You can now rename your thermostats if you wish to by pressing on the pen symbol next to the device name. · Press "Done" to end the integration process. · Slide the "Activate" button at the bottom edge of the screen from right to left to enable the radiator thermostat control. · You can now set and configure your radiator thermostat using the app. 5. Configuring thermostats · For simple temperature setting, there are four different operating modes available under "Program" for each day of the week. · This gives you the option of pre-setting the temperature of your radiator automatically at various times of the day. The programs pre-set in the app mean you can also carry out further automatic temperature changes. Under "Settings", you can activate the limescale protection, anti-frost protection, window open detection, child safety and temperature calibration functions. These functions, along with a few other setting options, are explained below. Limescale protection · If the radiator valve is not opened for two or more weeks, this can cause limescale to build up in the valve. · To prevent this, the radiator thermostat opens the valve for 30 seconds every two weeks. The display shows "Ad" during this process. Anti-frost protection · In Off mode, the display shows . · If the temperature falls below 5°C, the thermostat automatically activates the heating. · Heating continues until the temperature reaches 8°C. The thermostat then switches back to Off mode. Window open detection · If a window is opened while the heating is on, the radiator thermostat automatically stops the heating process if the temperature falls rapidly. (Temperature drop 6°C within 4 min) · "OP" appears in the display. As soon as the window is closed and the temperature has risen again by 2°C, the radiator thermostat automatically returns to normal operation. Child safety · Press and hold the control dial (1) for approximately 5 seconds to activate the child safety function. · "LC" appears in the display. · Child safety can be disabled by pressing the control dial for 5 seconds. Temperature change during an operational heating program · When a heating program is active, the temperature can be changed manually by turning the control dial. · flashes briefly on the display. The manual change of temperature remains active until the next change of program mode. · If the program mode then becomes active, the manual temperature is overridden. · If no appears, the thermostat is in manual mode. · To immediately return the radiator thermostat to the temperature set in the heating program, press twice on the control dial while the display is lit up. · The temperature shown in the display returns to the original value. · The display shows . On/Off · If the temperature is set at <5°C, "OF" appears in the display. · If the temperature is set at >30°C, "ON" appears in the display. · If the thermostat has a wireless connection to the central control unit, this is shown in the display · The thermostat has two modes. Programming mode is indicated in the display by . If the thermostat is in manual mode, no appears. Alarm · If an error occurs in the sensor, "Er" appears in the display. Low battery alarm Note - Low battery status · If the battery voltage is low, the symbol appears in the controller display. · The app notifies the user about the low battery level via a push message. · If the battery voltage is very low, the symbol on the controller display starts flashing. · For frost protection reasons, the controller opens the valve 100%. The Wi-Fi connection is interrupted. New version (V2/V3) · For frost protection reasons, the controller opens the valve 30%. The Wi-Fi connection is interrupted. · The valve can still be manually set to 0% (OF) or 100% (ON) on the controller. · Once a low battery voltage is reached, it is strongly recommended that the batteries are replaced to ensure smooth operation. · Change the batteries as described in Section 4.1 Inserting / changing the batteries. Outward mode · Outward mode can be activated in the app. As soon as this is activated, "LH" appears on the display. · If this mode is active, the set temperature is automatically dialled down to 16° Display turning · First move the dial to the OF position. Then, by pressing the control dial 5 times, the display can be rotated around 180°. Note - Pairing restart Restarting the central control unit · Press and hold the button on the central control unit for around 5 seconds. As soon as the LEDs start to flash, you can, as described in Section 4.6 Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home App, start a further pairing attempt. Thermostat restart · Press and hold the control dial on the radiator thermostat for around 5 seconds until "- -" appears on the LED display. Ensure that the thermostat previously displayed "OF". · You can now, as described in Section 4.6 Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home App, start a further pairing attempt. 5.1 Control via voice assistants The following voice commands are supported: · Switch on / off "Alexa / OK Google, switch the heating on" · Adjust the temperature "Alexa / OK Google, set the heating to 25 degrees" "Alexa / OK Google, set the heating five degrees warmer" 5.2 Extended usage options with scenarios Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the SmartHome products in your home. Programming is always carried out via the app (see Section 4 of the App Guide) and will be offered / suggested to you on an individual basis. Care and Maintenance Note Disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning and during prolonged periods of non-use. Inbetriebnahme 4.1 Batterien einlegen/wechseln Warnung Batterien · Beachten Sie unbedingt die korrekte Polarität (Beschriftung + und -) der Batterien und legen Sie diese entsprechend ein. Bei Nichtbeachtung besteht die Gefahr des Auslaufens oder einer Explosion der Batterien. · Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Akkus (oder Batterien), die dem angegebenen Typ entsprechen. · Reinigen Sie vor dem Einlegen der Batterien die Batteriekontakte und die Gegenkontakte. · Gestatten Sie Kindern nicht ohne Aufsicht das Wechseln von Batterien. · Mischen Sie alte und neue Batterien nicht, sowie Batterien unterschiedlichen Typs oder Herstellers. · Entfernen Sie Batterien aus Produkten, die längere Zeit nicht benutzt werden (außer diese werden für einen Notfall bereit gehalten). · Schließen Sie die Batterien nicht kurz. · Laden Sie Batterien nicht. · Werfen Sie Batterien nicht ins Feuer. · Bewahren Sie Batterien außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf. · Batterien nie öffnen, beschädigen, verschlucken oder in die Umwelt gelangen lassen. Sie können giftige und umweltschädliche Schwermetalle enthalten. · Entfernen und entsorgen Sie verbrauchte Batterien unverzüglich aus dem Produkt. · Vermeiden Sie Lagerung, Laden und Benutzung bei extremen Temperaturen und extrem niedrigem Luftdruck (wie z.B. in großen Höhen). 1 2 3 4 5 flashing 30 sec. · Drücken Sie das Batteriesymbol auf dem Gehäuse und ziehen Sie den Gehäusemantel nach oben über den Drehregler herunter. · Entnehmen und entsorgen Sie ggf. die verbrauchten Batterien. Legen Sie zwei neue Batterien vom Typ AA ein. Achten Sie dabei auf korrekte Polarität entsprechend der Zeichnung im Batteriefach. · Auf dem Display blinkt die Anzeige ,,LA". · Schließen Sie das Batteriefach, in dem Sie den Gehäusemantel wieder auf den Drehregler schieben. · Warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden bis die Anzeige ,,LA" dauerhaft leuchtet. Das Thermostat kann nun am Heizkörper montiert werden. 4.2 Montage des Adapters · Mittels der Überwurfmutter kann das Thermostat an allen Ventilen mit dem Gewindemaß M30 x 1,5 mm der gängigsten Hersteller wie z. B. Heimeier, MNG, Junkers, Landis+Gyr (Duodyr), Honeywell-Braukmann, Oventrop, Schlösser, Comap, Valf Sanayii, Mertik Maxitrol, Watts, Wingenroth (Wiroflex), R.B.M, Tiemme, Jaga, Siemens und Idmar montiert werden. · Mit den im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Adaptern ist das Gerät zusätzlich auf Heizkörperventile vom Typ Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Caleffi und Giacomini montierbar. Zur Montage der Aufsätze folgen Sie bitte den nachfolgenden Anweisungen zu den jeweiligen Aufsätzen. Danfoss RA und Danfoss RAV · Achten Sie bei der Montage darauf, dass die Zapfen im Inneren des Adapters eine deckungsgleiche Position zu den Einkerbungen am Ventil haben. · Setzen Sie den zu Ihrem Ventil passenden Adapter vollständig auf. · Bei der Montage verwenden Sie ggf. einen Schraubendreher und biegen den Adapter im Bereich der Schraubendurchführung leicht auf. Hierdurch kann der Adapter leichter auf das Ventil geschoben werden. Nach dem Aufrasten auf den Ventilkörper befestigen Sie die Adapter mit der beiligenden Schraube und Mutter. Danfoss RAV · Auf Ventile des Typs Danfoss RAV muss vor der Montage die Stößelverlängerung auf den Ventilstift aufgesetzt werden. Caleffi · Den Caleffi-Adapter bitte direkt auf das Ventil setzen. Giacomini · Für die Montage des Giacomini-Adapters bitte erst den Aufsatz befestigen, dann die Stößelverlängerung auf den Ventilstift setzen und abschließend den Kolben am Thermostat befestigen. 4.3 Montage am Heizkörperventil Warnung Montage · Wenden Sie bei der Montage keine Gewalt oder hohe Kräfte an. Dies kann Ihr Gerät beschädigen. · Achten Sie darauf, dass der Heizkörper ausgeschaltet und abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie mit der Montage beginnen. 1 2 flashing 30 sec. · Setzen Sie das Thermostat gerade auf das Ventil auf und ziehen Sie die Überwurf-Mutter fest. · Montieren Sie das Thermostat so, dass die LED-Anzeige für Sie weiterhin sichtbar ist. · Drücken Sie auf den Drehregler (1). Die Anzeige ,,LA" beginnt zu blinken. Das Heizkörper-Thermostat führt nun eine Adaptier-Fahrt durch. · Nach erfolgreicher Adaptier-Fahrt zeigt das Display die aktuelle Temperatur an. Sollte dies nicht erfolgen, führen Sie die zuvor beschriebenen Schritte erneut durch. 4.4 Montage Zentrale flashing Warnung · Betreiben Sie das Produkt nur an einer dafür zugelassenen Steckdose. Die Steckdose muss in der Nähe des Produktes angebracht und leicht zugänglich sein. · Trennen Sie das Produkt mittels des Ein-/Ausschalters vom Netz wenn dieser nicht vorhanden ist, ziehen Sie die Netzleitung aus der Steckdose. · Achten Sie bei Mehrfachsteckdosen darauf, dass die angeschlossenen Verbraucher die zulässige Gesamtleistungsaufnahme nicht überschreiten. · Trennen Sie das Produkt vom Netz, wenn Sie es längere Zeit nicht benutzen. · Verbinden Sie das beiliegende Micro-USB-Kabel mit der Micro-USB-Buchse und dem USB-Netzteil. · Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit einer ordnungsmäß installierten und leicht zugänglichen Netzsteckdose. · Die LEDs beginnen zu blinken. 4.5 Installation der App · Laden Sie die App ,,Hama Smart Home" mithilfe des QR-Codes herunter und installieren Sie diese. https://link.hama.com/ app/smart-home 4.6 Einbinden von Geräten in die Hama Smart Home App Pairing Zentrale · Um das Heizkörper-Thermostat mit der Hama Smart Home App zu verbinden, müssen Sie zuerst die Zentrale in die Hama Smart Home App einbinden. · Achten Sie darauf, dass die Zentrale an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist und die LEDs blinken. 1 · Öffnen Sie die App und wählen Sie am unteren linken Bildschirmrand ,,Mein Zuhause". · Berühren Sie anschließend am oberen rechten Bildschirmrand ,,+" und wählen Sie die Kategorie ,,Heizungssteuerung". · Bestätigen Sie in der App, dass die Zentrale blinkt. · Geben Sie anschließend den Namen Ihres WiFi Netzwerkes und das Passwort ein. Bestätigen Sie Ihre Eingabe durch ,,OK". Die Zentrale wird nun verbunden. Der Vorgang wird abgeschlossen. · Verbinden Sie nun die Heizkörper-Thermostate mit der Zentrale. · Wählen Sie hierfür in der App aus der Liste der gefundenen Geräte Ihre Zentrale. · Es wird folgender Bildschirm angezeigt: Pairing Heizkörper Thermostat 1 · Drehen Sie den Drehregler des Heizkörper-Thermostats solange nach links, bis das Display dauerhaft ,,OF" anzeigt. · Das ,,OF" wird sichtbar, wenn Sie aus der Richtung des Drehreglers auf das Display schauen. Erscheint kein ,,OF", drehen Sie den Regler in die andere Richtung. · Erlischt das Display, drehen Sie leicht am Drehregler, sodass das Display wieder aufleuchtet. 2 · Drücken und halten Sie den Drehregler für ca. 5 Sekunden bis die Anzeige ,,OF" erlischt und ,,- -,, sichtbar wird. 5 sec. 3 · Drücken Sie in der App auf ,,Untergerät hinzufügen". · Bestätigen Sie mit ,,LED blinkt bereits". · Im folgenden ,,Gerät suchen"-Bildschirm in der APP werden Ihnen nun alle Thermostate angezeigt, die die Zentrale finden konnte. · Die Suche dauert ca. 15 Sekunden. Bei großer Entfernung oder schlechter Verbindung kann dieser Vorgang bis zu 2 Minuten dauern. · Drücken Sie auf ,,Fertigstellung", wenn Ihre Thermostate gefunden wurden. 4 · Sie haben nun die Möglichkeit, Ihre Thermostate umzubenennen, wenn Sie auf das Stift-Symbol neben dem Gerätenamen drücken. · Drücken Sie auf ,,Fertigstellung", um den Einbindungsprozess zu beenden. · Schieben Sie den "Aktivieren"-Button am unteren Bildschirmrand von rechts nach links, um die Steuerung des Heizthermostats freizuschalten. · Sie können nun Ihr Heizkörper-Thermostat mithilfe der App einstellen und konfigurieren. 5. Konfiguration der Thermostate · Zur einfachen Temperatureinstellung stehen Ihnen unter ,,Programm" für jeden Tag vier verschiedene Betriebsmodi zur Verfügung. · Dadurch haben Sie die Möglichkeit, die Temperatur Ihres Heizkörpers zu verschiedenen Uhrzeiten des Tages automatisch voreinzustellen. Durch die in der App voreingestellten Programme können Sie weitere automatische Temperaturänderungen vornehmen. Unter "Einstellungen" können die Funktionen Kalkschutz, Anti-Frost-Schutz, Fenster-Auf-Erkennung, Kindersicherung und Temperaturkalibrierung aktiviert werden. Diese Funktionen sowie einige weitere Einstellungsmöglichkeiten werden nachfolgend erläutert. Kalkschutz · Wird das Heizkörper-Ventil innerhalb von zwei Wochen oder länger nicht geöffnet, kann dies zu Verkalkungen des Ventils führen. · Um dies zu verhindern, öffnet das Heizkörper-Thermostat das Ventil alle zwei Wochen für 30 Sekunden. Das Display zeigt währenddessen ,,Ad" an. Anti-Frost-Schutz · Im Aus-Modus wird auf dem Display angezeigt. · Fällt die Temperatur unter 5°C, aktiviert das Thermostat automatisch die Heizung. · Es wird geheizt bis die Temperatur 8°C beträgt. Im Anschluss wechselt das Thermostat wieder in den Aus- Modus. Fenster-Auf-Erkennung · Wird während des Heizens ein Fenster geöffnet, beendet das Heizkörper-Thermostat automatisch das Heizen, wenn die Temperatur schnell sinkt. (Temperaturabfall 6°C innerhalb von 4 min) · Im Display wird ,,OP" angezeigt. Sobald das Fenster geschlossen wird und die Temperatur wieder um 2°C gestiegen ist, wechselt das Heizkörper-Thermostat automatisch zurück in den normalen Betrieb. Kindersicherung · Drücken und halten Sie den Drehleger (1) für ca. 5 Sekunden, um die Kindersicherung zu aktivieren. · Im Display wird ,,LC" angezeigt. · Deaktivieren Sie die Kindersicherung, indem Sie den Drehregler für 5 Sekunden gedrückt halten. Temperaturänderung während laufendem Heiz-Programm · Bei aktivem Heiz-Programm kann die Temperatur durch Drehen des Drehreglers manuell geändert werden. · Im Display blinkt kurz . Die manuelle Änderung der Temperatur bleibt bis zur nächsten Änderung des Programmmodus aktiv. · Wird der Programmodus danach aktiv, wird die manuelle Temperatur wieder überschrieben. · Wird kein angezeigt befindet sich das Thermostat im manuellen Modus. · Um das Heizkörper-Thermostat sofort auf die im Heiz-Programm eingestellte Temperatur zurückzusetzen, drücken Sie bei leuchtendem Display zweimal auf den Drehregler. · Die angezeigte Temperatur im Display springt wieder zurück auf den ursprünglichen Wert. · Das Display zeigt an. An/Aus · Wenn für die Temperatur <5°C eingestellt ist, wird im Display ,,OF" angezeigt. · Wenn für die Temperatur >30°C eingestellt ist, wird im Display ,,ON" angezeigt. · Hat das Thermostat eine Funkverbindung zur Zentrale, wird im Display angezeigt · Das Thermostat hat zwei Modi. Der Programmmodus wird im Display durch angezeigt. Ist das Thermostat im manuellen Modus, wird kein angezeigt. Alarm · Tritt ein Fehler am Sensor auf, wird im Display ,,Er" angezeigt. Niedriger-Akkustand-Alarm Hinweis Niedriger-Akkustand · Ist die Batteriespannung niedrig, wird das Symbol am Display des Reglers angezeigt. · Die App informiert per Pushnachricht über den niedrigen Batteriestand. · Ist die Batteriespannung sehr niedrig, beginnt das Symbol am Display des Reglers zu blinken. · Aus Frostschutzgründen öffnet der Regler das Ventil zu 100%. Die Wifi-Verbindung wird unterbrochen. Neue Version (V2/V3) · Aus Frostschutzgründen öffnet der Regler das Ventil zu 30%. Die Wifi-Verbindung wird unterbrochen. · Am Regler kann das Ventil noch manuell auf 0% (OF) oder 100 % (ON) gestellt werden. · Sobald eine niedrige Batteriespannung erreicht ist, wird dringend empfohlen die Batterien zu tauschen, um eine reibungslose Funktion sicher zu stellen. · Wechseln Sie die Batterien wie im Kapitel 4.1 Batterien einlegen/wechseln beschrieben. Auswärts-Modus · Der Auswärts-Modus kann in der App aktiviert werden. Sobald dieser aktiviert ist, erscheint auf dem Display ,,LH". · Ist dieser Modus aktiv, wird die eingestellte Temperatur automatisch auf 16° heruntergeregelt Display-Drehen · Zuerst den Regler in OF Stellung bringen, danach kann durch 5-maliges Drücken des Drehreglers das Display um 180° gedreht werden. Hinweis Pairing-Neustart Neustart Zentrale · Drücken und halten Sie bei der Zentrale für ca. 5 Sekunden die Taste. Sobald die LEDs anfangen zu blinken, können Sie - wie in Kapitel 4.6 Einbinden von Geräten in die Hama Smart Home App beschrieben einen weiteren Pairing-Versuch starten.
