Intended Use
The appliance is designed for wet and dry vacuuming in household and hobby applications, including cleaning cars and garages. It is suitable for vacuuming dry dirt and small amounts of liquids. It is not intended for vacuuming flammable, explosive, or hazardous substances.

Safety Instructions
General Safety Precautions
Always follow basic safety measures when using electrical appliances to protect against electric shock, injury, and fire hazards. Read the manual carefully and familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use.
Safe Use of the Handheld Vacuum Cleaner
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting hazards.
- Children should not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children without supervision.
- Ensure the mains voltage and frequency match the device specifications.
- Connect the device only to a socket with a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of not more than 30 mA.
- Connect the device to a socket protected by at least a 16 A fuse.
- If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
- Always check that the device is correctly assembled and the filter is in the correct position before use. Never vacuum without a filter, as this could damage the device.
- Never operate the device with children or animals nearby. Persons nearby must wear protective clothing.
- Be attentive, work safely, and use common sense. Do not use the device when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Do not vacuum people or animals.
- Never point the device or nozzles at yourself or others, especially not at eyes or ears. Keep the device and nozzles away from head height during operation to avoid injury.
- Do not vacuum hot, glowing, flammable, explosive, or health-hazardous substances, including hot ash, gasoline, solvents, acids, or alkalis. This poses a risk of fire and injury.
- Ensure the mains cable is not damaged by sharp edges, pinching, or pulling.
- Do not use the mains cable to pull the plug from the socket or to pull the device. Protect the mains cable from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
- Do not handle the device with wet hands.
- Never transport the device while it is running.
- Switch off the device and unplug it from the socket. Switch off the device and remove the battery. Ensure all moving parts have come to a complete stop before: leaving the device unattended, changing accessories, removing blockages, checking, cleaning, or performing maintenance on the device.
- If the device starts to vibrate unusually strongly, immediate inspection is required. Remove the battery and check for loose parts, damage, or replace damaged accessories. Contact the service center for repairs.
Safe Use of Battery Chargers
- This product can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting hazards.
- Children should not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children without supervision.
- Only use this charger to charge batteries of the X 20 V TEAM series. Charging other batteries can lead to injury and fire or explosion hazards.
- Before each use, check the charger, cable, and plug, and have them repaired by qualified personnel using only original spare parts. Do not use a defective charger and do not open it yourself.
- Ensure that the mains voltage and frequency match the device specifications.
- Keep the charger clean and away from moisture and rain. Never use the charger outdoors. Contamination and water ingress increase the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid mechanical damage to the charger, as this can lead to internal short circuits.
- Do not operate the charger on or near flammable materials (e.g., paper, textiles) as it may pose a fire hazard due to heating during charging.
- If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards. Contact the service center.
- Unplug the mains plug when the battery is fully charged and disconnect the battery from the charger.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries in the charger.
- Charge your batteries indoors only, as the charger is intended for indoor use only. Risk of electric shock.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the charger from the socket before cleaning it.
- Allow a warm battery to cool down before charging.
- Only use accessories recommended by PARKSIDE. Unsuitable accessories can lead to electric shock or fire.
Preparation
WARNING! Risk of injury from unintentionally starting appliance. Only plug the mains plug into the socket when the appliance is fully prepared for use. Only insert the battery into the appliance when it is fully prepared for use.
Controls
Device Indicators (LEDs)
- LED green: Device is in ECO mode.
- LEDs blinking green: Device is charging.
- LEDs solid green: Device fully charged / Device is in Turbo mode.
- LED blinking red (2x): Low battery / (3x): Short circuit protection / (4x): Over-temperature protection / (5x): Device error.
LED Work Light (Fig. A)
The LED work light (3) switches on and off automatically with the device.
Motorized Brush Attachment (Fig. B)
This attachment has an overload protection against overheating. The device will automatically switch off. The motorized brush attachment (15) is suitable for dry vacuuming of upholstery or removing pet hair. With the protective grille (26) open, you can clean hard surfaces, and with the grille closed, carpets. Slide the protective grille (26) to open or close it; it will audibly click into place.
Small Brush Attachment (Fig. A)
The small brush attachment (14) is suitable for dry vacuuming of delicate surfaces. Can only be used in conjunction with the crevice nozzle (11).
Universal Nozzle (Fig. A)
The universal nozzle (13) is suitable for dry vacuuming for various occasions, e.g., collecting drilling dust. Can only be used in conjunction with the crevice nozzle (11).
Wet Nozzle (Fig. A)
The wet nozzle (12) is suitable for vacuuming liquids.
Crevice Nozzle (Fig. A)
The crevice nozzle (11) is suitable for dry vacuuming of crevices, corners, and radiators. It also serves as an extension for the small brush attachment (14) and the universal nozzle (13).
Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container
Notes
- Empty the dust container (1) after each use.
- Empty the dust container (1) when the suction power decreases.
- Hold the device horizontally to read the fill level.
- Empty the dust container (1) as soon as the "Max fill level" (2) marking is reached.
- When removing the dust container (1), hold the device with the wet nozzle (12) pointing downwards to prevent liquid from entering the device. If the dust container (1) is too full or liquid enters the motor housing during wet vacuuming, the device can be damaged.
Dismounting the Dust Container (Fig. A)
- Press the release lever (6).
- Carefully remove the dust container (1).
- Release the release lever (6) again.
Emptying the Dust Container (Fig. A)
- Dismount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Empty the dust container (1).
- Clean the dust container (1) with a damp cloth if necessary.
Mounting the Dust Container (Fig. A)
- Mount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Press the release lever (6).
- Reattach the dust container (1) to the device. Align the dust container (1) with the bottom of the device and slide it into the release lever (6) at the top of the device until it clicks into place.
- Release the release lever (6) again.
Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting
Filter Holder/Filter Mounting (Fig. A)
- Insert the filter (5) into the filter holder (4). Ensure the recesses in the outer filter rim are flush with the retaining tabs in the filter holder (4).
- Turn the filter (5) clockwise until it locks into place audibly.
- Insert the filter holder (4) with the filter (5) back into the dust container (1). The filter holder (4) can only be inserted into the dust container (1) in one position due to its shape.
- Lightly press the filter holder (4) to ensure it is seated fully in the dust container (1).
- Mount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
Filter Holder/Filter Dismounting (Fig. A)
- Dismount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
- Pull the filter holder (4) with the filter (5) out of the dust container (1).
- Turn the filter (5) counterclockwise and remove it from the filter holder (4).
Attaching/Detaching Nozzles
Attaching Nozzles (Fig. A)
- Insert one of the nozzles (11/12/15) fully into the front opening of the dust container (1). Ensure that the motorized brush attachment (15) connects with the power contacts (27).
- To use attachments (13/14), you must attach them to the crevice nozzle (11).
Detaching Nozzles (Fig. A)
- Remove the nozzles (11/12/15) by pulling them forward out of the dust container (1).
- Pull the attachments (13/14) off the crevice nozzle (11) at a slight angle. The tab (a) of the respective nozzle to be detached can be slid more easily over the nose (b) of the crevice nozzle (11).
Inserting and Removing the Battery
WARNING! Risk of injury from unintentionally starting appliance. Only insert the battery (22) into the device when it is fully prepared for use.
CAUTION! Risk of injury. Ensure the device is switched off.
Note: An incorrect battery can damage the device and the battery.
Inserting Battery (Fig. A)
- To insert the battery (22), slide it along the battery holder into the device. It will audibly click into place.
Removing Battery (Fig. A)
- Press the battery release (21).
- Pull the battery (22) out of the device.
- Release the battery release (21) again.
Charging the Battery
CAUTION! Risk of injury. Ensure the device is switched off.
Note: The supplied charger (25) allows charging directly via the device.
Procedure (Fig. A/C)
- Insert the battery (22) (see Inserting and Removing the Battery, p. 13).
- Connect the charger (25) to the device's charging socket (10) and to a suitable power source.
- During charging, please observe the charge status of the battery (22) (see Checking Charge Status, p. 14).
- The device can also be charged in the charging station (19) (see Using the Charging Station, p. 14).

Checking Charge Status on the Battery (Fig. A)
- LEDs red, orange, green: Battery charged
- LEDs red, orange: Battery partially charged
- LED red: Battery needs to be charged
- Press the button (23) next to the charge status indicator (24) on the battery (22). The LEDs on the charge status indicator show the battery's charge status.
- Charge the battery (22) if only the red LED on the charge status indicator (24) lights up.

Alternatively, the charge status can be read on the device indicator (8) (see Device Indicators, p. 12).
Mounting the Charging Station
The charging station (19) can also be used as a wall mount for space-saving storage.
WARNING! Contact with electrical lines can cause electric shock and fire; contact with a gas line can cause an explosion. Damage to a water pipe can cause property damage and electric shock. When drilling, ensure you do not damage any supply lines. Use suitable search devices to locate them or consult an installation plan.
Required Tools and Aids
- Drill, 6 mm (not included)
- Phillips head screwdriver (not included)
- Pencil (not included)
- 2 x Dowels, 6 mm
- 2 x Screws
Procedure (Fig. C)
- Mark two suitable spots on the wall with the pencil, spaced 127 mm apart. Use the charging station (19) for this.
- Drill the marked holes with a drill.
- Insert the dowels (16) into the holes and firmly screw in the screws (17) with a screwdriver. Leave the screw heads protruding about 10 mm from the wall.
- Insert the two holders (18, 20) into the sides of the charging station (19).
- You can now attach the charging station (19) to the wall using the keyhole slots (30) on the screws (17) and pull it down to the stop.
Using the Charging Station
Note: The charging station is not suitable for the Smart PAPS 2012 A1 battery.
Procedure (Fig. A/D)
- Insert the nozzles (11-14) into the holder for small nozzles (20) and the motorized brush attachment (15) into the designated holder (18).
- Insert the device with the battery (22) pointing downwards into the charging station (19).
- Thread the charger cable (25) through the cable opening (31). Turn the cable end counterclockwise to secure it. For correct connection, see Charging the Battery, p. 13.
Operation
Working Instructions
CAUTION! Risk of injury. Do not operate a damaged or incorrectly assembled device! Replace damaged parts or a dirty filter (see Spare Parts and Accessories, p. 18). Additionally, check the device for optical damage. When switching directly from wet to dry vacuuming, ensure the dust container (1), filter holder (4), and filter (5) are dry! Only vacuum liquids up to the "Max fill level" (2) marking. Always keep the device upright for transport, otherwise liquid will leak out! Point the attached wet nozzle (12) downwards.
Switching On/Off
Note: Before switching on, check that the filter holder (4) and filter (5) are inserted and dry (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
Operating Modes
The device operates in two modes:
- ECO Mode: The device runs at the lowest speed for maximum battery life. The operating time is approx. 35 minutes.
- Turbo Mode: The device runs at maximum speed. If resistance is too low, the motor speed adjusts. The operating time is approx. 20 minutes.
Switching On / ECO Mode (Fig. C)
- Press the On/Off switch (9) once. The device will run in ECO mode.
Turbo Mode (Fig. C)
- Press the On/Off switch (9) a second time. The device switches to Turbo mode.
Switching Off (Fig. C)
- Press the On/Off switch (9) a third time to switch off the device.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
WARNING! Electric shock! Risk of injury from unintentionally starting appliance. Protect yourself during maintenance and cleaning work. Switch off the device and unplug it from the socket. Switch off the device and remove the battery (22). Have maintenance and repair work not described in this manual carried out by our service center. Use only original spare parts.
Cleaning
General Cleaning
WARNING! Electric shock! Never spray the device with water.
Notes
- Risk of damage. Chemical substances can attack the plastic parts of the device. Do not use cleaning or solvent agents.
- Keep ventilation openings clear of foreign objects.
- Clean the surface of the device with a soft brush, a paintbrush, or a cloth.
- Empty the dust container (1) after each use.
- Clean the dust container (1) with a damp cloth.
Cleaning the Filter (Fig. A)
- Dismount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
- Dismount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Tap out the filter (5) and clean it with a brush or compressed air.
- If the filter (5) is heavily soiled, it can also be cleaned under running water. The filter (5) must be completely dry before reuse.
- Replace a heavily soiled filter (5) with a new filter (5) (see Spare Parts and Accessories, p. 18).
- Mount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Mount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
Cleaning the Motorized Brush Attachment
Note: Dismount the motorized brush attachment (15) from the device before cleaning. Only reassemble a dry attachment onto the device.
Procedure (Fig. B)
- Open the protective grille (26).
- Slide the brush release (28) forward.
- Remove the brush roller (29) from the motorized brush attachment (15).
- Clean the motorized brush attachment (15) with a damp cloth.
- Clean the brush roller (29) with clean water and, if necessary, a mild detergent.
- Allow the brush roller (29) to dry completely.
- Slide the brush release (28) forward and hold it in place.
- Insert the brush roller (29) into the motorized brush attachment (15).
- Release the brush release (28) again.
Maintenance
Replacing the Filter
Replace a heavily soiled filter (5) with a new one. New filters are available in the online shop (see Spare Parts and Accessories, p. 18).
Procedure (Fig. A)
- Dismount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
- Dismount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Replace the old filter (5) with a new one.
- Mount the filter holder (4)/filter (5) (see Filter Holder/Filter Mounting and Dismounting, p. 13).
- Mount the dust container (1) (see Mounting and Dismounting the Dust Container, p. 12).
Storage
Always store the device and accessories:
- clean
- dry
- protected from dust
- out of reach of children
Notes
- Remove the battery before prolonged storage (e.g., for winter) (refer to the separate operating manual for the battery and charger).
- The storage temperature for the battery and device is between 0-45 °C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage to prevent the battery from losing performance.
- The dust container (1) is not suitable for storing liquids. Empty the dust container after wet vacuuming.
Troubleshooting

Disposal/Environmental Protection
Remove the battery from the device and dispose of the device, battery, accessories, and packaging for environmentally sound recycling. Dispose of the device, accessories, and packaging for environmentally sound recycling.
Electrical appliances do not belong in household waste.
The symbol of the crossed-out trash can means that this electrical or electronic device must not be disposed of in household waste at the end of its service life, but must be handed over by the end-user to a separate collection system.
Disposal Instructions for Batteries
Li-Ion: The battery must not be disposed of in household waste at the end of its service life. Do not throw the battery into fire (risk of explosion) or water. Damaged batteries can harm the environment and your health if toxic vapors or liquids escape. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Defective or used batteries must be recycled. Hand in batteries at a battery collection point where they will be recycled in an environmentally sound manner. Ask your local waste disposal service or our service center. Dispose of batteries in a discharged state. We recommend covering the poles with adhesive tape for protection against short circuits. Do not open the battery.
