What's in the Box
The package typically includes the telephone base, handset, power adapter, telephone cord, and battery pack.
Connect and Activate
- Connect the telephone base to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
- Connect the telephone base to the phone jack using the telephone cord.
- Install the battery pack into the handset.
- Charge the battery fully before first use (approximately 12 hours).
Display Icons:
- The battery is low and needs charging: Indicates the handset battery needs to be charged.
- The battery is charging: Shows the battery is currently charging.
- The battery is fully charged: Indicates the battery has reached full charge.
- New messages: Signifies new messages on the built-in answering system.
- New voicemail: Indicates new voicemail from your service provider.
- NEW: Shows new entries in the caller ID log.
- ANS ON: The answering system is turned on.
- MSG#: Displays the current message number being played.
Setup
Set Date and Time
After installation or power restoration, the handset will prompt you to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen prompts:
- Press SELECT when prompted.
- Enter the current date (MM/DD/YY).
- Press SELECT.
- Enter the current time (HH:MM AM/PM).
- Press SELECT.
If you skipped the prompt, you can set the date and time by pressing MENU, then navigating to 'Set date/time'.
Basic Operation
Make a Call
Press the handset TALK button or any dialing key, then dial the number.
Answer a Call
Press the handset TALK button or any dialing key when the phone rings.
End a Call
Press the END CALL button.
Adjust Volume
Use the volume control buttons on the handset during a call.
Phonebook
The phonebook can store up to 30 entries, shared across all handsets. Each entry can include a name (up to 15 characters) and a phone number (up to 30 digits).
Add a Phonebook Entry
- Press MENU.
- Scroll to Phonebook, then press SELECT.
- Scroll to Add entry, then press SELECT.
- Enter the phone number, then press SELECT.
- Enter the name, then press SELECT.
Review Phonebook Entries
- Press the PHONEBOOK button.
- Scroll to browse entries.
Delete a Phonebook Entry
- Scroll to the desired entry.
- Press DELETE.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
Caller ID
If you subscribe to Caller ID service, caller information will be displayed. The log stores up to 30 entries.
Review Caller ID Log Entries
- Press the CALLER ID button.
- Scroll to browse entries.
Dial a Caller ID Log Entry
- Scroll to the desired entry.
- Press SELECT to dial.
Save a Caller ID Log Entry to the Phonebook
- Scroll to the desired entry.
- Press MENU.
- Scroll to Save to phonebook, then press SELECT.
- Edit the name if needed, then press SELECT.
Delete a Caller ID Log Entry
- Scroll to the desired entry.
- Press DELETE.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
Answering System
The telephone has a built-in answering system and supports voicemail service from your provider.
Turn the Built-in Answering System On or Off
On the telephone base, press the ANSWERING SYSTEM button.
Set Number of Rings
You can set the answering system to answer after 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 rings, or use Toll Saver.
- Press MENU on the handset.
- Scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
- Scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
- Scroll to # of rings, then press SELECT.
- Scroll to the desired number of rings, then press SELECT.
Message Playback
On the telephone base: Press the PLAY/DELETE ALL button.
On a handset: Press MENU, scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT. Scroll to Play messages, then press SELECT.
- Skip a message: Press SKIP.
- Repeat the playing message: Press REPEAT.
- Play the previous message: Press PREV.
Delete All Messages
Press and hold the PLAY/DELETE ALL button on the telephone base.
Important Safety Instructions

- Do not place the handset directly over a pacemaker when it is turned on.
- Use the handset on the ear opposite the pacemaker.

- Do not open or mutilate the battery.
- Handle batteries carefully to avoid short circuits.
- Charge batteries only as specified in the manual.
