PARTS LIST

The brake bleeder set includes the following components:

  • A: Brake Bleeder Bottle
  • B: Pump Handle
  • C: Pressure Gauge
  • D: Brake Fluid Reservoir
  • E: Lid Wrench
  • F: Bleeding Hose
  • G: Adapter Hose
  • H: Brake Fluid Reservoir Adapter
  • I: Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap

A visual diagram shows these parts labeled A through I, illustrating the main pressure bleeder unit, the collection bottle, and various hoses and adapters.

OPERATION

  1. Consult your vehicle's instruction manual to determine the best type of brake fluid. Ensure the engine is turned off. Lift your vehicle and secure it safely on a stand. Wheels can be removed individually or all at once.
  2. Open the vehicle's hood and locate the brake fluid reservoir. Remove as much brake fluid as possible from the reservoir. Be cautious, as brake fluid can damage paint.
  3. Place the brake fluid reservoir adapter (H) where the original brake fluid reservoir cap was. Connect the brake fluid reservoir adapter to the adapter hose (G).
  4. Fill the pressure bleeder reservoir (D) with brake fluid. Screw on the reservoir cap (C) using the provided cap wrench (E). Use the hand pump handle (B) to increase the system pressure to 10 psi.
  5. Begin bleeding the fluid from the system. Attach the bleeding hose (F) to the brake caliper, unfasten the caliper bleeder screw, and collect the expelled brake fluid in the brake bleeder bottle (A).
  6. Periodically press the vehicle's brakes to assist the bleeding process.
  7. Stop draining fluid when the fluid flowing through the bleeding hose appears clear. Refasten the bleeder screw and disconnect the bleeding hose.
  8. Repeat this process for the brake calipers on all other wheels. Between bleeding each caliper, refill the brake fluid reservoir. Clean any grime from the caliper before making the connection.
  9. Depressurize the reservoir before removing the brake fluid reservoir adapter. Reinstall the vehicle's original brake fluid reservoir cap. If the original cap is damaged, use the provided brake fluid reservoir cap (I) as a replacement.
  10. Reinstall the wheels after bleeding all calipers. Verify the integrity of the braking system by depressing the brake pedal. If the pedal does not feel firm, address any issues before using the vehicle. Conduct a slow test drive, periodically testing the brakes. Again, resolve any problems before continuing to use the vehicle.

  • Before each use, inspect the condition of the tool set. Repair any detected damage before further use.
  • After each use, clean away any grime or fluid using a mild detergent. Avoid using caustic chemicals or harsh abrasives.
