Overview

The Immax NEO LITE is a 5-meter smart LED strip designed for creating customizable ambient lighting. It supports a wide spectrum of colors (RGB) and adjustable white temperatures (CCT), is fully dimmable, and can be controlled wirelessly via Wi-Fi using the dedicated Immax NEO PRO mobile application or the widely compatible Smart Life app. An infrared (IR) remote control is also included for basic operations.

Technical Specifications

Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the controller's input port.
2. Before permanent installation, test the LED strip's functionality using the mobile app.
3. Mount the controller securely in a suitable location using the provided 3M adhesive tape.
4. Unfold the LED strip completely to prevent localized overheating.
5. Connect the LED strip cables to the correct output port on the controller. Ensure all connections are firm and secure.
6. Verify that the power supply, controller, and LED strip are correctly connected before powering on.

Important Notes:

• Wi-Fi Signal: Do not place the controller near metal objects or obstructions, as this can interfere with and weaken the Wi-Fi signal.
• Power Connection: Ensure the power adapter and controller are correctly connected. The output voltage of the power supply must match the working voltage of the LED strip (12V DC).
• Ventilation: Do not cover the power supply, controller, or LED strip. Adequate ventilation is necessary to prevent overheating.
• Connection Check: Always confirm all connections are correct before applying power to the device.

App Connection and Registration

To unlock the full potential of your Immax NEO LITE strip, download and register on the Immax NEO PRO or Smart Life mobile application.

Downloading the App:

• Scan the QR code provided in the manual to download the Immax NEO PRO app.
• Alternatively, search for "Smart Life" or "Immax NEO PRO" in your device's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and install the application.

Registration:

• Launch the Immax NEO PRO or Smart Life app.
• Tap the "Register" button to create a new user account, typically using your phone number or email address.
• If you already have an account, proceed to sign in.

Pairing the Product with the App

Before pairing, ensure your mobile device and the smart strip are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

Method 1: Pairing via Bluetooth (Recommended)

1. Reset the LED strip: Turn the strip on and off 3 times rapidly using its power source, or press and hold the button on the controller for over 5 seconds. The LED strip should begin to flash rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. Open the Immax NEO PRO app. Navigate to the desired room and tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
3. If Bluetooth is not enabled on your mobile device, the app will prompt you to turn it on. Grant the necessary permissions.
4. The app will automatically scan for and detect the LED strip via Bluetooth. Follow the on-screen prompts, which may include tapping "Go to add" or similar.
5. If prompted, select "Add Manually", then choose "Lighting" and the appropriate smart device category.
6. Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password when requested, then confirm.
7. The app will initiate the connection process. Wait for the pairing to complete successfully.
8. Once the device is added, tap "Done" to finish.

Method 2: Manual Wi-Fi Pairing

1. Reset the LED strip as described in Method 1 to enter pairing mode.
2. Open the Immax NEO PRO app, tap "+" and select "Add Manually".
3. Choose "Lighting" and then select the correct smart device model.
4. Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network password and confirm.
5. The app will scan for devices. Once found, tap "Next".
6. Tap "Done" when the device is successfully added.

Resetting the Device:

To reset the device to factory settings or re-enter pairing mode:

• Press and hold the button on the controller for more than 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
• Alternatively, cycle the power (turn off and on) 3 times using the wall switch, with 1-2 second intervals between each action. After the third power-on, keep the device powered on until the LED indicator flashes.

App Interface Features

The Immax NEO PRO app provides intuitive control over your LED strip:

Colors:

Adjust the brightness and select any color from the RGB spectrum. You can also fine-tune white light temperatures (CCT) for warm to cool white tones.

Scenes:

• Preset Scenes: Explore a variety of pre-programmed dynamic lighting modes designed for different moods and occasions.
• Custom Scenes: Create and save your own personalized lighting scenes by tapping the "+" icon within the "Custom Scenes" section and following the app's guided setup.

Music Modes:

Synchronize your lighting effects with music or ambient sound for an immersive experience.

• Local Mode: The controller's built-in microphone detects ambient sound. You can adjust the microphone sensitivity and select pre-defined rhythm scenes.
• APP Mode: Utilize your mobile device's microphone to detect music and control the lighting synchronization.
• Custom Rhythm Scenes: Design your own unique lighting sequences that react dynamically to the rhythm and beat of music.

Additional Features:

• Schedule: Set automated schedules for your lights to turn on or off at specific times. This includes features like gradual dimming for sleep or gentle wake-up lighting.
• Timer: Set a countdown timer for the lights to automatically turn off after a specified duration.
• Power On Behavior: Configure the strip's state (e.g., last used setting, default state, or "do not disturb" mode) when power is restored after an interruption. This is useful for areas with frequent power outages.

IR Remote Control

The included IR remote control allows for direct manipulation of basic functions such as dimming, color selection, and switching between scenes. For the IR remote to function, it must be pointed directly at the controller within its line of sight. Note that the IR remote control is inactive when the controller is in pairing mode.

Product Functions Diagram

The LED strip controller features the following connection ports:

• Port 1: DC 12V input connection port for the power adapter.
• Port 2: Output connection port for connecting the LED strip.
• Port 3: Function button. A double-click (two short clicks) turns the device ON or OFF. A long press (over 5 seconds) initiates device reset or network pairing mode.
