- Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.

- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Never operate the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged, if it malfunctions, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if the power supply has fallen into water. Return it to an authorized service center for examination and repair.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
- Never drop or insert objects into any openings of the appliance.
- Do not use outdoors or in areas where aerosol products are used or oxygen is being administered.
- Do not use the appliance with a damaged or broken foil, as this can cause serious skin injuries.
- Always connect the plug to the appliance first, then to the outlet. To disconnect, turn off all controls, then remove the plug from the outlet.
- When plugging into an outlet outside North America, use a plug adapter suitable for the outlet's pin configuration.
- Caution: The battery may present a fire or chemical burn hazard if mistreated. Do not disassemble, heat above 100 °C (212 °F), or incinerate.
- Only use the detachable power supply provided with the appliance for recharging. If the appliance is marked 492C, use only Braun power supplies coded 492-XXXX.
Operation and Maintenance
General Usage
- Keep the power supply and charging stand dry.
- Avoid exposing the appliance to temperatures above 50° C / 122° F for extended periods.
- Avoid direct contact with eyes and the hairline.
- Do not press the trimmer into the skin when the distance comb is removed, as this poses a risk of injury.
- The body trimmer (06-BDT) should only be used with a comb attachment in delicate areas.
- For hygiene reasons, do not share the appliance with other persons.
Charging
- Charging temperature range: 5°C - 35°C (41°F - 95°F).
- A full charge typically takes 1 hour.
- The battery indicator ? on the display shows the charge status.
Indicators and Controls
- Display/Dashboard: Provides visual feedback on shaver status.
- Battery Indicator ?: Shows the remaining battery charge.
- Plug Indicator ?: Confirms the appliance is connected to power.
- Travel Lock Indicator ?: Prevents accidental operation. Activate/deactivate by pressing and holding the power button ? for 3 seconds.
- Replacement Indicator: Notifies when shaver foils and cutters should be replaced. Replacement is suggested approximately every 18 months.
Cleaning
- Shaver Head: Clean under hot running water after each use with foam or gel. Turn the shaver on and rinse until all residues are removed.
- Facial Cleansing Brush (03-BR): Clean with cool running water after each use.

Important Notes on Battery and Disposal
- Do not attempt to open the appliance. The built-in rechargeable batteries can only be replaced by an authorized Braun Service Center.
- Dispose of the appliance responsibly at the end of its life. Disassemble the housing to remove the rechargeable battery and recycle or dispose of it according to local environmental regulations. Caution: Disassembling the appliance will render it unusable and void the warranty.
- Suggested replacement date for shaver head/foils: Note the suggested replacement date (in 18 months from now) below the replacement part reference number.

2-Year Limited Warranty (USA)
Braun warrants this shaver (excluding foil and cutter block) against defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase date. Braun will, at its option, repair or replace the defective unit. This warranty excludes damage from accident, misuse, abuse, water, tampering, unauthorized service, or normal wear. Implied warranties are limited to two years. Braun is not liable for consequential damages.

Braun Canada warrants this shaver (excluding foil and cutter block) against defects in material or workmanship for two years from the original purchase date.
