• New Features
  • Scanner Framework: Integrated support for MP7000 scanner and scale.
  • Zebra Device Manager: Control MTP folder write access to Android/data and Android/obb folders on the device when Media Transfer Protocol is used via USBMgr.
  • DataWedge: Added support for Digital Link parsing for GS1 barcodes in DataWedge. Added support for GS1 Parsing for Non-UDI GS1 barcodes in DataWedge.
  • ZRP: PowerMgr - Set Recovery Mode Access to features that could compromise a device.
  • Fusion: Support for multiple root certificates for Radius server validation.
  • WWAN: USSD & SS enabled over IMS for Saudi Arabia.
  • Bluetooth: Smart leash feature support for device tracker application.
  • MX 13.2:
    • Audio Manager adds the ability to: Control whether to show/hide vibration icon on the Status Bar, which indicates whether the device vibrates when Notifications are received.
    • Audio Volume UI Manager adds the ability to: Control whether to allow the device user to show/hide the vibration icon on the Status Bar of the device.
    • Cellular Manager adds the ability to: Configure Voice Over LTE settings with a JSON file.
    • UI Manager adds the ability to: Control Large-screen Taskbar usage, which displays recent and pinned apps, plus a link to the app library. Control usage of the Active App List UI in the Notification panel on the device, potentially allowing the user to terminate apps running on the device. Identify external keyboard names using wildcard characters.
    • USB Manager adds the ability to: Control MTP folder write access to Android/data and Android/obb folders on the device when Media Transfer Protocol is used.

  • SPR-51467/SPR-51936: Resolved an issue where in TC27 MTN carrier optimized setting preventing 5G communication.
  • SPR 53388: Firmware Update for SE55 Scan Engine with Critical bug fixes, and performance enhancements. This update is highly recommended.

  • SPR-52690: Resolved an issue wherein HC20/HC50 call audio heard by recipient was muffled or distant sounding.
  • ZPAY - Fix for where in TC53/TC58 back-to-back transaction failure due to 6001 error.
• Usage Notes: HC20/HC50: To ensure optimal voice call audio performance, Zebra strongly recommends using this release or newer, as users may encounter call quality degradation in older releases.

Version Information

Device Support

The products supported in this release are TC22, TC27, TC53, TC58, TC73, TC78, HC20 and HC50 family of products.

OS Update Installation Requirements and Instructions

For devices TC53, TC58, TC73 and TC78 to update from A11 to this A13 release, user must follow below steps.

• Step-1: Device MUST have A11 May 2023 LG BSP Image 11-21-27.00-RG-U00-STD version or a greater A11 BSP version installed which is available on zebra.com portal.
• Step-2: Upgrade to this release A13 BSP version 13-27-06.00-TG-U00-STD-ATH-04.

Known Constraints

• Delta OTA packages are not supported in Recovery mode. To apply Delta OTA packages, use StageNow/MDM solution.
• Staging via NFC is not supported.
• DHCP Option 119 feature is currently not supported in this release. Zebra is working on enabling these 2 features in future Android 13 releases.
• User will not be able to push files into below listed directories using adb command. Alternately, EMM clients or StageNow can be used to push files into below listed directories.
  • /enterprise/
• Customers using Airwatch Proprietary staging method which includes generation of barcodes from Airwatch console and using external FTP as staging servers not ready for this release, Zebra will enable this feature in upcoming release of Airwatch agent.
• Video conference over WEB RTC (Real Time Communication) interpreting solution not supported for lower resolution (SPR-48680).
• Bluetooth SSI mode is not working via customer app using EMDK with DS3678 (SPR-50159).
• Caution to Dimensioning / Premium SKU customers: Please upgrade to 1.3.0.0 Dimensioning Software Bundle before upgrading to A13. It is required to upgrade dimensioning software to 1.3.0.0 BEFORE upgrading the device from A11 to A13. (If software bundle is not upgraded, Dimensioning update feature will be broken).
• Zebra apps do not support Android Work Profiles or any COPE Mode features. Zebra is working on enabling these features in future Android 13 releases.
