How to Make Plain Yogurt
- You will need a 1.5-2.0 liter measuring cup and a whisk. Ensure all items are clean and dry.
- Combine approximately 1.2 liters of milk with 130 ml of fresh yogurt, or 1.33 liters of milk with 2g of yogurt culture. Stir well in the measuring cup.
- Pour the mixture into the 7 glass jars and screw on the lids.
- Note: If using unpasteurized milk, boil it first to kill germs and bacteria. UHT milk does not require boiling. For best results, milk should be at room temperature.
- Place the glass jars into the yogurt maker and close the lid.
- When plugged in, the LED display will flash briefly before turning off.
- Press the Power button. The display will show "10H" flashing. Set your desired time within 5 seconds. The yogurt maker will start automatically.
- Note: You can adjust the time using the Timer button. Press the Power button to start. Time selection is valid during operation. Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn off the unit and re-select the time.
- After time selection, the appliance starts and counts down the hours. It will automatically switch off when the time is up.
- Allow the jars to cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours before consuming.
Tips for Yogurt Making
- Homemade yogurt is typically creamier and less thick than commercial yogurt.
- Water separation during preparation is normal; discard or mix it back in.
- Using homemade yogurt for the next batch may result in thinner yogurt over time. If it becomes too thin, start with store-bought yogurt.
- Using 900 ml of milk can result in firmer yogurt.
- Adding 3-4 teaspoons of milk powder can thicken the yogurt.
- Yogurt also thickens if refrigerated overnight before consumption.
- UHT milk does not need to be boiled.
- Yogurt powder from health food stores or online retailers can be used instead of yogurt cultures.

- Other Flavors: Add sugar, vanilla, nuts, chocolate sprinkles, nougat, coconut flakes, and other flavorings.
- Tzatziki: Add chopped cucumber, garlic, and olive oil.
