Introduction
The RS PRO M510 Micropump is a high-quality miniature pump designed for liquids. It offers high efficiency, a compact size, and lightweight construction. Its robust build and wide temperature tolerance ensure reliable performance even in demanding environments. The Micropump is designed for quick and easy installation in confined spaces, making it suitable for a wide range of laboratory, prototype, and production equipment.
Electrical Connection
The M510 Micropump utilizes sensorless brushless motor technology and requires an electronic driver circuit for operation. RS part numbers 1253555, 1253556, and 1253557 include the EQi-M brushless driver. RS part numbers 8170784, 8170781, and 8170772 are pump-only units and require a separate driver.
Motor Specifications
- Type: 3 wire DC Sensorless Brushless Motor
- Supply Voltage (with EQi-M): 6-28V
RS Micropumps Electronic Driver Units
For applications where a brushless motor controller is not readily available, RS recommends the EQi-M driver board. This is a compact and lightweight device designed to be installed in-line with the pump's wiring. The EQi-M provides speed and flow control through an on-board potentiometer or an external 0-4V analogue signal. It operates within a 6-28V input voltage range, allowing it to monitor and regulate the pump's speed accordingly.
Materials
Wetted materials include:
- 316 Stainless Steel
- PEEK
- Ertalyte
- FKM
- Ertacetal
- Nickel
Tubing & Connectors
The connectors are designed to accommodate semi-flexible tubing with an 8.0mm internal diameter (I.D.).
Flow Direction
The diagrams illustrate the pump's connection points and indicate the standard flow direction with red arrows. The pump is designed for flow in one direction only.
Notes on Operation
The M510 series Micropumps require filling with liquid (priming) before they can be operated.
Important: Do not run the Micropump dry. Ensure the pump is primed before use.
The standard pump features an IP45 protection rating.
