Log Set Assembly Instructions
For Models: LOGS-550-E, 750-E, 950-E

Log Placement Overview
Carefully remove the logs from the packaging. CAUTION: LOGS ARE FRAGILE! Handle with care.
Figure 1 illustrates the recommended gap between the burner and the lava rock retainer, approximately 3/8 inch.
Lava Rock Zone: Place lava rock between the lava rock retainers.

Log Placement Instructions
Log #1
Locate the slot on the bottom right side of Log 1. Mate the slot with the right rear log tab. Pull the left end of Log #1 forward until it touches the left rear log tab.

Log #2
Mate the far left grate tine with the notch located on the left end of Log #2. The right end of Log #2 should rest on Log #1. Ensure the top of Log #2 touches the back of the firebox.

Log #3
Locate the pin hole on the underside of Log #3. Mate the pin hole with the shoulder screw located on the burner top. Push the left end of Log #3 toward the back of the firebox until it touches the lava rock retainer.

Log #4
Locate the notch at the end of Log #4. Mate the notch with the grate tine. The top end of Log #4 should rest between the end of Log #2 and the bump on Log #1. Swing the knot on Log #4 towards Log #3.

Log #5
Locate the notch at the end of Log #5. Mate the notch with the far right grate tine. The top end of Log #5 should rest on the right side of the "bump" as shown. Log #4 may need slight adjustment.

Lava Rock Application
Step #6: Apply the supplied lava rock. Place an even layer of lava rock in the zone indicated in Figure 1, just enough to cover the metal surface. Ensure no lava rock is placed outside the designated zone.

WARNING: RISK OF EXPLOSION!
- Place lava rock according to instructions.
- Do NOT place lava rock on the burner top.
- Do NOT place lava rock where they may fall into the pilot area.
- Improperly placed lava rock can interfere with proper burner operation, potentially causing delayed ignition.
- Use ONLY Hearth & Home Technologies-approved lava rock.
- Some models may not require the entire contents of the lava rock bag.
