CoolFlow
This system creates optimal air circulation to maintain a constant temperature throughout the refrigerator compartment. The air mimics the natural microclimate, keeping food fresh longer. This system also allows any type of food to be placed on any shelf in the refrigerator, as there is no temperature difference between shelves.
NoFrost
With NoFrost technology, you no longer need to defrost your freezer.
Shelves
You can arrange the shelves as you wish on the supports inside the refrigerator. To move or remove a shelf, lift it slightly at the back, pull it towards you, then move or remove it from the appliance. Place quickly perishable foods at the back of the shelves, where the temperature is lowest.
Some models also have a wire bottle holder. This prevents accidental removal. It can only be removed when empty. To remove it, lift it slightly at the back and pull it towards you. Position the bottle holder so that the length of the bottles does not prevent the door from closing properly. This shelf can hold a maximum of nine 0.75 L bottles or support a total of 13 kg (see the label on the right side inside the appliance).
You can also store cans on this shelf (lengthwise or widthwise).
Vegetable Drawer with Humidity Regulator
- The drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator is for storing fruits and vegetables. It ensures adequate humidity and prevents them from drying out.
- The humidity in the vegetable drawer is automatically regulated based on the type and quantity of vegetables stored.
- To remove the vegetable drawer: Pull it out as far as it will go (1), lift the front, and then remove it completely (2).
MultiZone Drawer (On some models only)
The MultiZone compartment allows you to store a wide variety of foods up to three times longer than in a traditional refrigerator. Preserved products stay fresh longer, retaining their flavor and nutrients. The temperature of this compartment depends on the set temperature for the refrigerator compartment, the ambient temperature, the frequency of door opening, and the quantity of food it contains.
To achieve a temperature around 0°C in the MultiZone compartment, we recommend setting the refrigerator compartment temperature to 4°C or lower. The temperature in the ZeroZone compartment can drop below 0°C. Therefore, place temperature-sensitive foods in the upper parts of the refrigerator.
For optimal efficiency, the drawer must be closed properly.
- When shopping, buy fresh products: their nutritional quality and shelf life depend on it.
- Store food in closed containers or wrap them properly to prevent them from absorbing odors and keep them dry.
- About 30 to 60 minutes before use, remove food from the drawer to allow its aroma and flavor to develop at ambient temperature.
- Foods sensitive to low temperatures and not suitable for storage in the MultiZone compartment include: pineapple, avocados, bananas, olives, potatoes, aubergines, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, melons, watermelons, pumpkins, squashes, zucchini, etc.
- To remove the drawer: Pull it towards you until it stops; lift the front and then remove it completely.
Converting the MultiZone Compartment into a Vegetable Drawer
If you need extra space for your fruits and vegetables, you can convert your MultiZone compartment into a vegetable drawer.
- To do this, move the cursor as follows:
- To use the compartment as MultiZone: push the cursor to the right.
- To use the drawer as a vegetable drawer: push the cursor to the left.
INFORMATION When the Convert function is activated (light above the symbol D is lit), the compartment will function as a vegetable drawer, regardless of the setting or cursor position. Even if the cursor is set to MultiZone, the temperature in the drawer will not be close to 0°C, which may lead to food spoilage. Therefore, we recommend placing foods sensitive to higher temperatures in a more suitable location.
Appliance Operation
Starting and Stopping the Appliance
To start the appliance, plug the power cord into the socket.
To stop the appliance, unplug the power cord from the socket.
Setting the Appliance Temperature
- The appliance temperatures are preset at the factory to the recommended setting of 4°C for the refrigerator compartment and -18°C for the freezer compartment.
- After starting the appliance, it may take several hours for the set temperature to be reached. Do not put any food in the appliance until the chosen temperature setting has been reached.
Setting the Refrigerator Compartment Temperature
- Adjust the desired temperature using the A button.
- Press this button several times until the indicator light for the desired temperature illuminates.
- The indicator cycles through the settings from right to left.
The numbers 2, 4, and 6 indicate the temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) in the refrigerator compartment.
- The recommended setting is +4°C. At this temperature, food quality and freshness are preserved longer.
- If the room temperature where the appliance is installed is below 16°C, we recommend setting the refrigerator below 4°C.
Setting the Freezer Compartment Temperature
- Adjust the desired temperature using the B button.
- Adjust the desired temperature by successively pressing the B button.
- The indicator cycles through the settings from right to left.
The numbers -20, -18, and -16 indicate the temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) in the refrigerator compartment.
- We recommend setting the temperature to -18°C, as this will preserve food quality and freshness longer.
Super Freezing Function (Rapid Freezing)
- Use this function when commissioning the appliance, before cleaning, and 24 hours before introducing a large quantity of food.
- To activate: Press and hold the B button until you hear a beep and the indicator light above symbol C illuminates.
INFORMATION When Super Freezing is active, the temperature may be lower in the freezer, and also in the refrigerator.
INFORMATION When the rapid freezing function is selected, the appliance operates at maximum capacity. It may therefore be noisier for a period.
Deactivating Super Freezing
To deactivate: Press the B button again to set the desired temperature B1. The indicator light above symbol C will turn off. If the intensive freezing function is not manually deactivated, it will automatically deactivate after approximately two days, and the temperature will return to the last set value.
In case of a power failure during intensive freezing, the function will restart once the power is restored.
Convert Function
The entire freezer compartment can be converted into a MultiZone compartment. The temperature in this compartment is equal to or slightly below 0°C. Therefore, do not store temperature-sensitive foods in this compartment, as they may freeze. Before switching to MultiZone function, empty the freezer compartment to prevent frozen food from thawing and spoiling.
- Activate Convert Function: Press and hold the B button until you hear a beep and the indicator light above symbol D illuminates.
- When the function is activated, the freezer compartment temperature will be set to 0°C. The indicator light above symbol D will flash until the freezer compartment reaches this temperature; when it does, the light will remain constantly lit.
- Temperatures are approximate and depend on ambient temperature, door opening frequency, and the amount of food inserted. Setting a higher temperature in the MultiZone compartment will also increase the temperature in the refrigerator compartment, and vice versa. Adjust settings according to operating conditions.
- When the Convert function is activated, all other supplementary functions will be deactivated.
- Deactivate Convert Function: Press and hold the B button again until you hear a beep and the indicator light above symbol D turns off.
- When the function is deactivated, the temperature setting returns to the most recent setting selected before activating the Convert function.
INFORMATION The Convert function also affects the temperatures in the MultiZone drawer (see Description of the Appliance chapter). When this function is activated, the temperature in the drawer will not be close to 0°C. On the contrary, the drawer will function as a fruit and vegetable drawer regardless of the settings or cursor position, which may lead to food spoilage. Therefore, we recommend moving foods sensitive to higher temperatures to a more suitable location.
High Temperature Alarm
- Each time you turn on the appliance, a 24-hour delay is activated for the alarm function. If the appliance does not reach a sufficiently low temperature after this period, the alarm will sound.
If the temperature inside the appliance is too high, a siren alarm (intermittent tone) will sound, and the indicator light above the set temperature for the compartment with the too-high temperature will flash.
- If the temperature is too high in the refrigerator compartment, the indicator light above the set temperature A1 will flash.
- If the temperature is too high in the freezer compartment, the indicator light above the set temperature B1 will flash.
Stopping the Alarm
- To acknowledge and deactivate the siren alarm, press the A or B button. If the alarm is not deactivated, it will reactivate every hour for approximately 15 minutes.
- When you press the A or B button for the first time, the alarm will be acknowledged and deactivated. Pressing the button again will make it function as a parameter setting button.
- The indicator light above the set temperature A1 or B1 will flash until the appliance reaches a sufficiently low temperature.
Door Open Alarm
If the refrigerator door or freezer compartment door is open for more than 2 minutes, a siren alarm (repetitive beep) will activate. If the alarm is not manually deactivated, it will sound for 10 minutes.
To deactivate the alarm: close the appliance door.
INFORMATION If you deactivate the alarm by pressing the B button, it will reactivate after 4 minutes if the door is still open.
INFORMATION If you leave the door open for more than 10 minutes, the alarm will stop, and the indicator light above the -16°C or -18°C display will start flashing. The appliance will then enter safety mode to provide sufficient cooling and prevent food spoilage despite the open door.
