Install the Camera
General Installation Guidelines:
- For outdoor use, the camera MUST be installed upside down to ensure better waterproof performance and PIR motion sensor efficiency.
- Install the camera 2-3 meters (7-10 ft) above the ground. This height maximizes the PIR motion sensor's detection range.
- For optimal motion detection, install the camera at an angle.
Note: If a moving object approaches the PIR sensor vertically, the camera may fail to detect motion.
Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates mounting height (2-3 meters) and PIR detection distance (2-10 meters), showing an angled installation.
Mount the Camera to the Wall
Step 1: Drill holes according to the mounting hole template and screw the security mount to the wall. Use drywall anchors if needed.
Step 2: Install the antenna to the camera.
Step 3: Screw the camera to the security mount and adjust its direction. For better WiFi connection, it is recommended to install the antenna upward or horizontally.
Mounting Options
Mount the Camera to Ceiling
Step 1: Pull the button on the security mount and unscrew the bracket to separate the two parts.
Step 2: Install the bracket to the ceiling.
Step 3: Align the camera with the bracket and turn it clockwise to lock it in position.
Install the Camera with Loop Strap
The camera can be strapped to a tree using the security mount and ceiling bracket. Thread the provided strap through the plate, fasten it to a tree, and then attach the camera to the plate.
Safety Instructions of Battery Usage
The camera is designed for motion event recording and remote live viewing, not for continuous 24/7 operation at full capacity or constant live streaming.
- The battery is built-in and cannot be removed.
- Charge the rechargeable battery using a standard DC 5V/9V battery charger or a Reolink solar panel. Do not use solar panels from other brands.
- Charge the battery between 0°C and 45°C (32°F to 113°F). Use the battery between -20°C and 60°C (-4°F to 140°F).
- Keep the USB charging port dry, clean, and free of debris. Cover the port with the rubber plug after charging.
- Do not charge, use, or store the battery near ignition sources like fire or heaters.
- Do not use the battery if it exhibits odor, excessive heat, discoloration, deformation, or any other abnormality. If such issues occur during use or charging, immediately turn off the power switch or remove the charger and stop using the battery.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local waste and recycling laws.
