Fire Hazard

Burn Hazard

- Metal objects heat up very quickly on the hob surface. Do not place metal objects like knives, forks, spoons, or lids on the hob.
Electric Shock Hazard

- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified service technician.
- Never use a damaged appliance or power cord.
- If the surface cracks, disconnect the appliance immediately by switching off the fuse in the fuse box.

Avoiding Damage

- Keep the hob and cookware bases dry.

- When cooking in a water bath, ensure the cookware does not touch the bottom of the water-filled pot.
- Use only heat-resistant cookware.
- Do not use the appliance if the surface is cracked or broken.
Cookware
- Use cookware with flat, smooth bases.
- Ensure cookware diameter matches the cooking zone.
- Avoid placing objects on the hob surface or control panel.
- Do not use adapter plates.
- Never heat empty cookware or use cookware with thin bases.
- Clean up spills immediately, especially sugary ones.
- Use appropriate cookware for the cooking zone.
- Do not slide cookware; lift it to move it.
- Do not use the hob as a work surface or storage area.

Packaging Disposal
Dispose of packaging materials ecologically.
Energy Saving Tips
- Select the cooking zone appropriate for the cookware size.
- Center the cookware on the zone.
- Use cookware with bases matching the zone diameter.
- Cover pots with a lid.
- Lift lids as rarely as possible.
- Use glass lids to monitor cooking without lifting.
- Use flat-bottomed pots and pans.
- Use cookware appropriate for the amount of food.
- Boil with minimal water.
- Switch to a lower cooking setting in time.
- Change to a lower cooking setting promptly.
Suitable Cookware
Induction cookware must have a ferromagnetic base. Check with a magnet.
Bases should be completely flat and smooth.
Cookware Types
- Suitable: Stainless steel with multi-layer base, enameled steel, cast iron, special induction stainless steel. These distribute heat evenly, heat up quickly, and are reliably detected.
- Not Suitable: Cookware with non-ferromagnetic bases, aluminum parts, thin steel, glass, ceramic, copper, or aluminum cookware.
Observations
- Do not use adapter plates between the hob and cookware.
- Do not heat empty pans or use pans with thin bases.
Getting to Know Your Hob
Induction Cooking
Induction cooking offers advantages like time and energy saving, and easier cleaning due to direct heat generation in the cookware.
Control Panel
The control panel features touch fields and displays. Keep it clean and dry. Do not place cookware near displays and sensors.
Cooking Zone Layout
The hob has multiple cooking zones with different power levels.
Cooking Zone Operation
Select a zone, then adjust the power level using [plus]/[minus] controls. Power levels range from 1 to 9. ⚡ PowerBoost provides maximum power.
Residual Heat Indicator
An indicator (H or h) shows if a zone is hot or warm.
ReStart Function
If the hob is switched off within 4 seconds, it restarts with the previous settings.
Basic Operation
Switching the Hob On/Off
Use the main power switch [power]. The hob switches off automatically if no cooking zones are active for 20 seconds.
Timer Functions
Timer for Switching Off
Program a cooking time for a specific zone, which will automatically switch it off.
Kitchen Timer
A general timer function (0-99 minutes) that does not switch off zones.
PowerBoost
Allows faster boiling of larger quantities of water than the highest standard setting.
Child Lock
Prevents accidental activation by children. Activate/deactivate by pressing the power symbol for 4 seconds when the hob is off.
Settings
General Settings
Various settings can be adjusted, including child lock, acoustic signals, automatic zone switch-off, and timer end signals.
Power Limitation
Allows limiting the hob's total power consumption based on your electrical installation.
Cookware Test
Tests the suitability and performance of your cookware.
Reset to Factory Settings
Restores all settings to their original factory defaults.
Cleaning and Care
Cleaning Agents
Use recommended cleaning agents and a glass scraper. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners.
Cleaning the Hob
Clean the hob after each use. Remove persistent dirt with a glass scraper. Use a ceramic hob cleaner.
Cleaning the Hob Frame
Clean the frame with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the table for common faults and their solutions.
Display Indicators
Error codes (e.g., F2, F8, E) indicate specific issues. Follow the manual's troubleshooting steps.
Normal Noises
Induction hobs may produce normal operating noises like humming or fan sounds.
Disposal
Old Appliances
Dispose of old appliances ecologically. Contact local authorities for disposal information.

Built-in Requirements
- Install over drawers or ovens with ventilation.
- Ensure the surrounding furniture is heat-resistant (min. 90°C).
- Worktop must be level, stable, and capable of supporting approximately 60 kg.
- Ensure adequate ventilation for the hob and any appliance installed below it (e.g., oven, drawer). Maintain specified clearances.
Hob Installation
Follow the cutout dimensions and installation steps carefully.
Connecting the Appliance
Connect according to the wiring diagram. Check for error codes if the appliance does not function correctly after connection.
Test Recipes
The manual includes test recipes for quality control purposes, specifying cookware, ingredients, and settings.
