App Preview:
The BWell Health app allows you to track various health metrics such as weight, body fat, blood pressure, and temperature. It provides a comprehensive overview of your health data.
Getting Started
Setup your devices:
- Carefully remove the included AAA batteries from their wrappers.
- Forehead Thermometer: Open the battery bay on the back by pressing down on the dimpled trough and sliding the panel down. Insert two AAA batteries according to the diagrams. Replace the cover and slide back up to lock.
- Blood Pressure Monitor: Open the battery bay on the bottom by pressing down on the raised line and sliding the panel up. Insert four AAA batteries according to the diagrams. Replace the cover and slide back down to lock. This monitor can also be powered by a Micro USB charge cable (not included), but not with rechargeable batteries.
- Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter: Open the battery bay on the bottom by sliding the back panel in the direction of the arrow. Remove the panel to reveal the battery vestibules. Insert two AAA batteries according to the diagrams. Replace the cover and slide back up to lock.
Important Notes on Batteries:
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g., Lithium-ion and NiMH).
- Do not mix new and used batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
5. Open the BWell Health app and follow the instructions to pair the applicable devices with your smartphone. For more detailed app use instructions, go to page 19.
All three devices can be used with or without a smartphone or health app. Do not attempt to pair the devices from your smartphone's Bluetooth® menu; connect through the BWell Health app.
Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter
The Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter can be used to measure hemoglobin saturation (SpO2%) and pulse rate (PR bpm) through your finger.
Using the Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter:
- Open the Oximeter clamp by squeezing the top portion.
- Insert one finger into the finger port with the nail upwards towards the display screen.
- Press the control button on the front panel.
- Remain still while the sensors take measurements.
- Press the control button to change the display orientation.
- The Finger Tip Pulse Oximeter will automatically shut off after 10 seconds of unuse.
Precautions:
- Do not use with MRI or CT equipment.
- Intended as an adjunct in patient assessment.
- Do not use with adhesive tape, which may lead to errors.
- Prolonged use may cause discomfort; change test sites periodically.
- Dysfunctional hemoglobins, intravascular dyes, defibrillator interference, venous pulsations, severe vasoconstriction, anemia, hypothermia, and brightly painted nails may cause inaccurate readings.
- Do not use if allergic to ABS, black silicone pad, or other materials.
- Stop use and contact the manufacturer if performance is inconsistent.
- Degraded sensors or electrodes can affect performance.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- No modification of this equipment is allowed.
- Avoid places with poor ventilation, high dust, lint, direct sunlight, and strong light sources.
- Change the placement position of the oximeter every 2 hours to check for skin impact.
Maintenance:
- Replace batteries when the low battery indicator flashes.
- Clean the surface before use.
- Remove batteries if not in use for an extended period.
- Keep the product dry.
Cleaning frequency:
- Clean the enclosure and silicone pad after each use if dirty.
- If not dirty, clean the silicone pad before and after each use.
Cleaning method:
- For home use: Wipe and disinfect with 75% alcohol, then dry naturally or clean with a dry cloth. Clean at least twice a week.
- For medical institutions: Clean the tested finger with 75% alcohol before use. After each measurement, wipe and disinfect the contact part between the black silicone and enclosure with 75% alcohol.
Waste disposal:
- Follow local laws and recycling instructions for disposal of the device, components, and packaging.

Blood Pressure Monitor
The Blood Pressure Monitor can be used to measure blood pressure, vein diameter, and pulse. It can also detect the presence of an arrhythmia.
Before Measurement:
- Avoid bathing, drinking alcohol, consuming caffeinated products, smoking, exercising, and eating 30 minutes before measurement.
- Rest for at least 15 minutes before measurement.
- Avoid taking measurements when stressed.
- Measurements should be taken in a quiet place. Remain still and do not talk during measurement.
To ensure consistent results:
- Measure blood pressure at the same time of day.
- Measure blood pressure from the same arm.
Setting up:
- With the monitor off, long press the Memory button for 5 seconds to enter setup mode.
- Use the Power button to switch between entry points and categories, and to change data. Press the Memory button to advance to the next category.
- Setup categories include: User, Year, Date, 12/24 hour clock, Clock setup, and Speaker on/off.
Using the Blood Pressure Monitor:
- Insert the air hose plug into the air hose port on the left side of the monitor.
- Roll up your sleeve or ensure it is not wrapped too tightly around your arm. App-based measurements work best if the skin is not covered.
- Put your arm through the arm cuff and tighten it. Ensure the "UP" arrow is facing up. The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1 inch above the elbow.
- Sit relaxed with legs uncrossed and feet flat on the floor. Keep your back straight and rest your arm on a flat surface. The arm cuff should be at heart level.
- Press the Power button. The cuff will inflate, and the monitor will display measurements. If using the BWell app, press "start measuring" simultaneously.
- The arm cuff will deflate when measurements are ready. Remove your arm.
Using and Clearing the Memory:
The monitor automatically stores 99 measurement results for two users. Older results are deleted when new ones are added beyond the limit.
- With the monitor off, short press the Memory button to view stored measurements. Default is User 1.
- To clear memory: Select the user, turn the monitor off. Long press the Memory button (do not release when the user setup menu appears), then press the Power button when "CL" is displayed.
Precautions:
- Do not adjust medication based on measurement results. Follow your physician's prescription.
- Do not use on an injured arm or an arm undergoing medical treatment.
- Do not use the arm cuff during an intravenous drip or blood transfusion.
- Do not use on infants or persons unable to express intentions.
- Do not use with other medical electrical (ME) equipment.
- Consult your physician. Self-diagnosis and self-treatment can be dangerous.
- Consult your physician if pregnant (including pre-eclampsia) or diagnosed with arrhythmia or arteriosclerosis.
- Individuals with severe blood circulation problems or blood disorders should consult a physician before use, as cuff inflation can cause bruising.
- Ask your physician before using on an arm with an arteriovenous shunt.
- The Irregular Heartbeat function is a detection aid, not a replacement for a cardiac examination.
- Keep out of reach of infants, children, or pets. Small parts can be a choking hazard.
- Do not use for purposes other than measuring blood pressure.
- Do not disassemble the monitor or arm cuff, as this may cause inaccurate readings.
- Do not use in humid environments or where water may splash onto the device.
- Do not operate in a moving vehicle.
- Do not drop the device or subject it to strong shocks or vibrations.
- Do not service or perform maintenance while the device is in use.
- If the arm cuff does not deflate, unwrap it to loosen and remove the monitor.
- Take measurements only when necessary to avoid bruising.
- Inflate the arm cuff only when it is wrapped around your arm.
- The device emits electromagnetic energy. Keep portable RF communications equipment at least 12 inches away to avoid performance issues.
- Do not stack or use adjacent to other devices without verifying normal operation.
Maintenance:
- Regularly clean with a dry or slightly dampened soft cloth.
- Do not wash or immerse in water.
- Do not use detergents.
- Do not shake, strike, or drop the device.
- Do not disassemble or attempt to repair.
- Store in a clean, safe location, away from extreme temperatures, high humidity, direct sunlight, dust, or corrosive vapors.

Abnormal Situations:
What Happened
- Measured blood pressure is abnormally low or high:
- Reason: The arm cuff is not wrapped properly.
- Solution: Make sure the arm cuff is installed correctly around the arm.
- Reason: User was talking or moving their arm during the measurement.
- Solution: Remain still and do not talk during the measurement process.
- Reason: The rolled-up sleeve is oppressing the arm.
- Solution: Take off clothes that oppress the arm and measure again.
- Not pressurized:
- Reason: The air hose plug is not fully inserted into the air hose port on the main unit.
- Solution: Connect the air hose plug to the air hose port and arm cuff correctly.
- Reason: Leak in arm cuff.
- Solution: Purchase a new arm cuff. Note: The new arm cuff does not have an air hose plug. Install the original air hose plug onto the new arm cuff.
- Reason: The arm cuff is wrapped too loose.
- Solution: Wrap the arm cuff tightly. Note: If not wrapped tightly, excess pressure will be added, shortening service life.
- The arm cuff deflates before a measurement is taken:
- Reason: If not used for a long time, battery energy is exhausted due to temperature changes.
- Solution: Replace all four AAA batteries with new or fully recharged batteries at the same time.
- Sudden power failure during pressurization:
- Reason: Battery energy is completely consumed.
- Solution: Replace all four AAA batteries with new or fully recharged batteries at the same time.
- Reason: The positive and negative poles of the battery are reversed.
- Solution: Insert the batteries correctly.
- Other situations:
- Reason: Display screen jitter.
- Solution: Please press the Power button and perform the operation again.
- Reason: Can't measure.
- Solution: Please try replacing the batteries. If the issue persists, contact customer service.

Forehead Thermometer
The Forehead Thermometer can be used to conduct contact-less body and surface temperature measurements.
Using the Forehead Thermometer:
- Power on by pressing the measure button. The screen will display characters, then a cycling ticker indicating warm-up. When three bars appear, it's ready. Ensure the body mode indicator (head in profile) is lit.
- Hold the thermometer 1-2 inches from the forehead and press the measure button.
- Hold the thermometer still during reading. A beep indicates completion (unless muted).
- The temperature displays for five seconds before the thermometer reverts to standby mode (three bars). Press the measure button again to take a new temperature.
- To power off, hold the measure button for three seconds or wait 15 seconds for auto shutoff.
Fever Alerts:
If a temperature reading is above the normal range, the thermometer provides a fever alert with different backlight colors and beeps:
- Normal: Green Backlight, One short beep (Less than 99.5°F / 37.5°C)
- Warning: Yellow Backlight, Four short beeps (99.5°F - 101.3°F / 37.5°C - 38.5°C)
- Fever: Red Backlight, Nine short beeps (Greater than 101.3°F / 38.5°C)
Precautions:
- Environment changes can affect accuracy. Allow the thermometer to acclimate to room temperature for 30 minutes before use.
- Wait at least 30 minutes after strenuous exercise before taking a reading.
- Do not wear a hat. Ensure no hair, sweat, or makeup is on the forehead.
- To avoid human error, take multiple measurements and use the average temperature.
