Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this Kmart Smart Powerboard. Before use, please read this information on setting up the device. This smart powerboard is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
After installation, the smart powerboard needs to be paired with the "Tuya Smart" app, available for download from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Once the app is installed, link it with your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account to enable voice control.
This user manual is divided into three parts:
- Part One: Fundamental setup – Pairing the smart powerboard to the "Tuya Smart" App.
- Part Two: Alternative setup – Controlling the smart powerboard with Amazon Alexa.
- Part Three: Alternative setup – Controlling the smart powerboard with Google Assistant.
If you use Amazon Alexa for voice control, follow instructions in Part One and Part Two. If you use Google Assistant, skip Part Two and follow instructions in Part One and Part Three.

Part One: Pairing the Smart Powerboard with "Tuya Smart" App
To control your smart powerboard, you need to install and set up the "Tuya Smart" app.
- Download and Install:
- Scan the QR code provided in the original document (QR codes are excluded from this output).
- Alternatively, search for "Tuya Smart" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Create Account: Create an account within the Tuya Smart app and log in.
- Add Device:
- Tap the "+" button, usually located in the top right corner of the app's homepage.
- Select "power strip (Wi-Fi)" from the list of devices.
- Enter Wi-Fi Details:
- Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Ensure your mobile device is connected to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as smart Wi-Fi devices only support this frequency.
- Tap "Next".
- Standby Mode: Ensure the powerboard is in standby mode. The blue indicator light should flash twice per second (this indicates Quick Connection Mode or EZ mode).
- Connect: Tap "Next" and wait for the connection to be successfully established.
- Name Device: Give your smart powerboard a name. A simple name is recommended for easier voice recognition with Alexa or Google Assistant. This name will be used for voice commands (e.g., "Smart powerboard"). The named device will appear on the app's homepage.
You can now control the smart powerboard via the Tuya Smart app on the settings page.
How to Control the Smart Powerboard by Tuya Smart App
The Tuya Smart app allows for individual control of each power outlet and USB port.
- Individual Control: Tap the corresponding button to turn each switch on or off independently.
- All Control: Tap the "All On" or "All Off" buttons to control all outlets simultaneously.
- Timers: You can set on/off timers for each switch by tapping the alarm clock icon ⏰ next to each switch.
Part Two: Controlling the Smart Powerboard with Amazon Alexa
Ensure your Alexa app is connected to your Echo device and both are working correctly on your Wi-Fi network.
- Open Alexa App: Log in to your Alexa app. Tap the top-left corner and select "Skills".
- Search for Skill: Type "Tuya Smart" in the search bar, find it in the results, and tap to enable the skill.
- Link Account: Enter your Tuya Smart app account credentials (username and password). Tap "Link now" and then "Authorize" on the subsequent page to bind your Tuya Smart account to Alexa.
- Discover Devices: Once your Tuya Smart account is linked, tap "DISCOVER" to allow Alexa to detect the smart powerboard.
- Device Confirmation: The named smart powerboard will appear on the device page in your Alexa app.
- Control via App: You can now control the smart powerboard through the Alexa app settings page.
- Voice Control: You can also use voice commands with Alexa. For example: "Alexa, turn on 'device name'" or "Alexa, set 'device name' to 'number'". The 'device name' is what you assigned in the Tuya Smart app (e.g., "Smart powerboard").
Part Three: Controlling the Smart Powerboard with Google Assistant
Follow these steps to integrate your smart powerboard with Google Assistant.
- Open Google Assistant App: Log in to your Google Assistant app and navigate to "Home Control" from the left-side menu.
- Add Device: Tap the "+" button, typically found in the bottom-right corner, to proceed to the next page.
- Select Service: Find and select "Tuya Smart" from the list of available services.
- Link Account: Enter your Tuya Smart app account credentials to bind your Tuya Smart account to Google Assistant.
- Device Recognition: The named smart powerboard will now be visible and controllable within the Google Assistant app.
- Voice Control: You can now use voice commands such as: "Hey Google, turn on 'device name'" or "Hey Google, set 'device name' to 'number'". Use the name you assigned in the Tuya Smart app (e.g., "Smart powerboard").

Cautions

- If the supplied power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- To satisfy RF exposure requirements, maintain a separation distance of 20 cm or more between this device and persons during operation. Operations at closer distances are not recommended. The antenna used for this transmitter must not be co-located with any other antenna or transmitter.
Notes
- The smart powerboard can function without the app. Press the power button to switch it on or off manually.
- The smart powerboard may produce an electronic relay operation sound, which is normal for its internal circuit.
- In case of overloading, the internal fuse will automatically shut down the power. To recover, unplug the unit from the wall socket, press the reset button, and then plug it back in.
- Smart Wi-Fi devices only support 2.4GHz networks. Ensure your mobile device is connected to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Refer to your Wi-Fi router setup guide for assistance.
- To reset the device, press and hold the power button for 6 seconds. The blue indicator light will flash twice per second, indicating it has entered Quick Connection Mode (EZ mode).

Thank you for your purchase from Kmart. Kmart Australia Ltd warrants your new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period stated above, from the date of purchase, provided the product is used in accordance with accompanying recommendations or instructions.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Kmart will provide a refund, repair, or exchange (where possible) for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period. Kmart will cover reasonable expenses incurred in claiming the warranty.
This warranty does not apply if the defect results from alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
