Please review this User Manual for precautions and instructions to optimize your DEX FingerLight® for everyday use.

DEX FingerLight's durable and flexible Griptonite TPU Overmolded Copper Ring is engineered as a 1-size fits most feature. It will firmly attach to any finger or thumb, in any position, and over gloves by manual expansion and contraction. Experiment by wearing DEX FingerLight® in multiple positions and on different fingers. Refer to the Quick Start Guide included in your package and on our website.

Battery Safety

Battery Type: 3.7V 120mAh Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery

The light source of this luminaire (the entire device) is not replaceable. When the light source reaches its end of life, the customer must replace the whole luminaire.

Getting Started: Charging

Charge battery before first use. To access the USB-C charge port on the back of the DEX FingerLight®, insert your fingernail under the recessed portion of the protective cover and gently flip it upward to visualize the charge port. Plug the provided charging cable into a power source, then plug the USB-C end of the charging cable into the DEX FingerLight®. The USB-C charging cable can be used with a charging brick, computer, or any other compatible power source. Charge times can vary. On average, a fully drained battery will take 90-120 minutes to fully charge.

Continuous Battery Runtime

Battery runtime will vary based upon the light modes. The approximate continuous runtimes of each mode on a fully charged battery are as follows:

• Low (dim): 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes)
• High (bright): 45 minutes
• Green (stealth and night vision): 2 hours and 15 minutes (135 minutes)

Once the battery is fully charged, the battery protection circuit will stop charging to prevent overcharging. However, after charging is stopped, the battery will naturally lose a small amount of charge over time due to self-discharge. Bench testing has demonstrated full discharge of the battery will take place after about 70 days.

It is not recommended to leave DEX FingerLight® plugged into the charger for long periods of time after fully charged, as this will reduce the useful lifespan of the battery. Removing DEX FingerLight® from the charger as soon as charging is complete will extend the useful lifespan of the battery.

Battery Charge Indicators

DEX FingerLight® has battery indicators located on top and in front of the power button.

• When the battery is low, the indicator will illuminate SOLID RED, indicating 2-6 minutes of remaining battery runtime, depending upon its current lighting mode. To extend battery runtime, switch to the Low (dim) light mode, or Green.
• PLUG IN IMMEDIATELY AFTER LOW BATTERY INDICATOR ILLUMINATES RED.
• Once plugged in, the battery indicator light will switch to BLINKING WHITE.
• When DEX FingerLight® is fully charged, the battery indicator light will illuminate to SOLID GREEN.

NOTE: DEX FingerLight® will not operate while charging.

Usage Instructions

Flexible Ring Operation

To adjust the Griptonite TPU Overmolded Copper Ring, manually expand the ring to fit over the desired finger or thumb, then squeeze the ring to fit the finger or thumb comfortably. Refer to the Quick Start Guide included in the packaging or visit our website.

Light Operation

The power button located on the top of the DEX FingerLight® is indicated by the icon logo with a raised ring around the outside. There are three lighting modes that occur with each power button press:

• Low (dim)
• High (bright)
• Green (stealth and night vision)

After Green, the next button press will cycle off.

Mode Memory

Once the preferred lighting mode is selected, Mode Memory will automatically engage after three (3) seconds, at which point the light will turn off instead of cycling to the next setting. From "off," pressing the button will turn the light to the same setting. To go to a new setting, the button must be pressed within three (3) seconds of turning on the light. Mode Memory will reset when DEX FingerLight® is plugged-in to charge.

General Use

DEX FingerLight® is indicated for use as a finger-mounted illumination device. Its intended use is for hands-free tasks and can be worn in any position.

DEX FingerLight® is waterproof up to an IP57 rating, which means it can be submerged for up to 30 minutes at a one (1) meter depth and also resistant against dust and dirt ingress.

To clean the surface of the DEX FingerLight®, use a damp cloth with water or isopropyl alcohol and apply light pressure.

Important Precautions

• DO NOT use DEX FingerLight® in a combustible environment.
• DO NOT clean with acetone or other volatile solutions which may irritate skin or corrode.
• DO NOT dismantle the device.

Use of DEX FingerLight® for any purpose other than finger-mounted illumination is specifically discouraged. Wild M Brands, LLC disclaims liability for other than recommended use.

Storage

Temperature Limits

DO NOT store where the temperature can exceed 130° F (54° C) or drop below 15° F (-9° C).

DEX FingerLight® may need to be charged if stored for a prolonged amount of time (more than 60 days) or exposed to extreme temperatures.

Caution: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
