N300 Wireless Router User Manual

Overview

This manual provides instructions for setting up and using the N300 Wireless Router.

Ports and Buttons

Connect to Internet

  1. Turn off the modem.
  2. Connect the modem's LAN port to the router's WAN port using an Ethernet cable (RJ45). If your internet connection is via Ethernet cable directly from the wall, connect one end to the router's WAN port.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the router's DC-IN port and turn it on.
  4. Plug in the modem's power adapter.

Set up the Network via a Web Browser

  1. Connect your smartphone or computer to the Wi-Fi name (SSID) displayed on the device label on the router.
  2. Launch a web browser. Enter 192.168.10.1 in the address bar.
  3. Enter the default Username and Password found on the label at the bottom of the router to access the management page.
  4. Navigate to the 'Internet' page, select the WAN Type (DHCP is recommended if unsure), and click 'Save'.
  5. Navigate to the 'WIFI' page. Change the SSID and Password to enhance your Wi-Fi network security. Click 'Save' to apply the configuration.

FAQ

Q1: What should I do if I can't access the router's management page?
Reboot your router and try again. Check your Wi-Fi connection. Use an alternative web browser such as Google Chrome. Restart your computer.
Q2: What should I do if I can't access the Internet?
Reboot your modem and router, then try again. Verify that the Internet is working by connecting the modem directly to a computer with an Ethernet cable.
Q3: What can I do if I forget my wireless network password?
If you haven't changed the default password, it can be found on the label at the back of the router. Alternatively, connect your computer to the router via an Ethernet cable, log in to the web management page at 192.168.10.1, and navigate to 'Install > Wireless' to retrieve or reset your password.
Q4: What should I do if I forget my Web management page password?
Check the Web password on the label at the bottom of the router. If forgotten, use a pin to press and hold the RESET button on the back of the router for approximately 5 seconds until the LED blinks. This will restore the router to its default settings, which can be found on the label.
