1.2 Activating your watch
Before using your watch, you need to:
- Activate its data and voice communications by subscribing to a mobile service plan, similar to a mobile phone. Visit https://www.techsixtyfour.com and go to the service plans tab to subscribe.
- Charge the watch for at least 2 hours.
- Take the watch outdoors for a few minutes to get the most accurate initial GPS location.
- Ensure the caller display features are turned on for phones that will call the watch. The watch needs to recognize the numbers that call in.
Your watch comes with a pre-installed SIM card that uses mobile coverage from 3 major telecom companies (Vodafone, EE, and O2) to minimize dead zones. Your phone can also be used abroad with free roaming in most of the EU. Visit www.techsixtyfour.com to see which countries are included in your chosen service plan.
1.3 Charging the watch
Use the magnetic charger included in the box to charge your Gator Watch. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. The charging icon showing a fully charged battery can only be seen when the watch is switched off.
Charging port: The watch has a charging port on its underside.
Charging: The watch is charged using a magnetic charging cable.

3. How to use the watch
3.1 Install the Gator app and register a new account
Download the Gator app from the Apple iPhone App Store or the Google Play store. Search for "Gator" published by "Gator Group".
After installation, register a new user account using your email address from the login page. Ensure you use a valid email address for password recovery.
Multiple users can register and track a single watch. Refer to section 3.6.1 for details on obtaining the verification code for additional users.
3.2 Register the watch in the app
After registering your user account, log in to the app and turn on the watch. The app will display the watch registration page.
To enter the IMEI (the watch's unique ID), tap the scan button and scan the QR code on the back of the watch. This will automatically populate the IMEI number.
Enter the child's name and one emergency contact number. For all phone numbers entered in the app, include the country code (e.g., 44 for the UK) and omit the leading zero (e.g., 447937878787). Double-check these numbers under Settings/Phone Numbers after initial setup.
To add more watches, expand the list of watch owner names on the Home screen and select 'Add watch'.
3.3 Track and manage the watch with the app
3.3.1 Track the watch
After registering the watch, take it outdoors to obtain a good GPS signal. The app will display the correct location after a few minutes.
By default, the watch uploads its GPS location to the app every minute while in motion and enters sleep mode when stationary.
Tapping the watch owner's photo displays location address details and watch status.
Next to the battery level indicator, you will see one of the following indicators: 'GPS', 'Base Station', 'WIFI', or 'Smart'.
- 'GPS': Location obtained from the global satellite positioning system.
- 'Base Station': Used when no GPS signal is available. The location of the nearest mobile network base station is used for an approximate location. The accuracy is indicated by a light blue circle around the location marker.
- 'WIFI': Used for indoor tracking where WIFI is available. No password is required.
- 'Smart': A combination of the other three tracking methods.
3.3.2 Making Calls, Voice Monitor and Location History
Call the watch
Only numbers set as 'Emergency Call Numbers' and 'Whitelist Numbers' in 'Settings' can call the watch. If a phone number is set, you can call the watch by tapping the phone icon on the right side of the home page title bar. The call can be answered on the watch by pressing either the Volume + or Volume - button. The call can be ended by short-pressing the Power On/Off button or by hanging up on your phone.
You can also call the watch directly from your phonebook if the number is saved.
Activate Voice Monitor
This function allows the watch to call a specified number without alerting the watch. You can then answer the call on your phone to voice monitor the watch.
Location History
View all recorded locations for a specific day. Specify the date of interest and tap "Search". Click "Including Base Stations" for greater accuracy.
Pinch and zoom the map for detailed views of recorded locations. Tap markers to see address and time details.
3.4 Check alarm messages
The watch raises alarms in the following situations:
- The SOS button is pressed on the watch.
- The watch strays outside of a 'Safe zone' (defined in 'Settings' under 'Safe zone').
- The battery in the watch is running low.
To view alarm details, tap the 'Alarm' button at the bottom of the screen.
3.5 Manage settings
All watch and app settings are managed through the 'Settings' section of the app. This includes Safezones, emergency and whitelisted phone numbers, and alarm clock settings.
3.5.1 Edit Profile
Tap 'Go To Edit Profile' below the watch user's name to amend details such as the watch name, profile photo (used on the map location marker), time zone setting, and phone number.
'Allow Child to Turn Watch Off' controls whether the Power On/Off button on the watch can be activated by the child. The 'Send SMS when SOS Activated' feature is not applicable to this watch.
The 'Verification code' at the bottom of the 'Edit Profile' screen is required for other app users to add the watch to their phone app. For example, if one parent registers the watch, the other parent will need this code to add it to their app.
'Delete this watch' will remove the watch from your app, but settings will be retained on the server.
3.5.2 Safe Zones
You can set up to 10 'safe zones', each defined as a circular area with a radius from 200 to 2000 meters from a central point.
To add a safe zone, tap 'add' in the top right corner of the safezones page. Set the desired distance and tap the tick button to confirm.
To delete a safe zone, tap the trash can icon next to the relevant safe zone name.
3.5.3 Phone Numbers
Only numbers added here are allowed to call the watch.
'Emergency Call Numbers' are used for voice monitoring when the SOS function is triggered. The watch calls these numbers sequentially if the first does not answer. The first or second 'Emergency Call Numbers' can also be called by long-pressing the 'Volume +' or 'Volume -' buttons, respectively.
'Whitelist Numbers' are additional numbers permitted to call the watch.
The 'Name' assigned to a phone number is displayed to the child on the watch when calling, so using names like "Mum" or "Dad" is recommended.
3.5.4 Voicemail
This feature uses the data connection to send voice messages, saving on voice minutes. In the app, go to the voicemail tab. Hold the 'hold and record' button to record and send a voice message (up to 10 seconds) to the watch. Up to 6 messages can be sent at once. Note: messages can only be played once on the watch and cannot be replayed.
On the watch, short-press the 'S' button to enter voicemail mode. The voicemail icon will appear. Hold the '+' button to record and release to send the message to the app. Press the '-' button to listen to messages. Press the power button to exit voicemail mode.
3.5.5 System Settings
Alert Notification
Alarms are raised when the SOS button is pressed, the watch leaves a 'Safe zone', or the battery is low. It is strongly recommended to keep this feature turned on.
